Forgot to check the light up features before notifying SSC. Sent message two days ago and still no response.

I would just call them or chat if possible

Any one got any pics of a smashed up reveal head? I have to destroy mine and am unsure how to go about it.

Unsure how to destroy a little plastic toy head? I'm calling shenanigans on this one!:lol

What I meant was sideshow said not to melt the head so I was wondering if they would accept if I chopped it up. Smacking it with a hammer did nothing.

It's cool, I was just messing with you. They actually told you not to melt it? Did they also specify "No Disintegrations"?:lol

Waited over 10 minutes on chat and nothing...

I'll try calling tomorrow if still no response at the end of the day.

I had trouble with the chat feature yesterday but usually works good.

I submitted my claim yesterday and I then spoke with Tesa over chat today and she confirmed they have my claim. She said it would take 2-4 business days before I hear anything.

Might as well post this that I posted in the other thread for those of you with scratched or scuffed domes:

Guys: This is what I have always used and it works like magic to remove fine scratches, smudges and scuffs from any plastic surface or other types of surfaces, painted or unpainted. It's called NOVUS scratch remover.

I would use #2, the red bottle which removes fine scratches, for this instance. I've polished small helmets (First sideshow vader) and the results are fantastic. I first learned of these from a 6 inch action figure customizer guy like 8 years ago and since, I've always had this kit. I remember I was even taking the scuffs off from the plastic cases of the toy biz marvel legends figures' packages. They would turn the surface flawless, smooth and shiny. You can also just buy #2 by itself without getting the other two.

I know sideshow should ultimately solve your problem, but this is something you should have for future use from scratches occurring by accident. You never know. Highly recommended.

Here's a link where to get them, although other places also have them. Just look for the better deal.

Generally how long does it take to hear back from Customer Service?

I filled out and sent a "Returns and Exchanges Form" with attached pictures of the damaged parts on Sunday and haven't heard back from SSC. Is it better to contact them an alternate way?

Mine finally shipped, today. Looking forward to seeing whether I can dodge a bullet on this one! So far, out of 16 orders, I haven't received anything with QC issues (I don't pack-out, either, and have never had damage from shipping) but have a feeling my lucky streak is about to end...

My first head was perfect aside from one broken tusk. I got a replacement with a badly scratched helmet. At first I thought no problem, I'll just swap helmets, but then I noticed one of the gunmetal cheeks has a scratch that goes through the paint to the black plastic. I got on chat and get a canned response about filling out the exchange form. So I hit the call me button, my phone rings immediately, but it rings for awhile and then asks me to leave a message. So I call CS, Tesa tells me to just respond to my original replacement email, which I did. That was 48 hrs ago and no response. And now I'm seeing people in the main thread saying SS is telling people they're out of replacement helmets.

I was a completist on this line from Jedi Luke all the way through the end of 2009 when I had to slow it down and go into cherry picking mode. All exclusive versions direct from Sideshow. This is my first replacement request ever, and I've been hearing all these years about how great SS customer service is when there's a problem. Right now I'm not seeing it. But I get that they're overwhelmed with requests for replacements, so I'll give them some time to make this right before I pass final judgment on the experience.

I managed to get the tusks off the second helmet. But so far having trouble digging out the nub from the broken tusk on the first helmet.

I too have some quality issues with my Vader. I have scratches on my dome and a broken tusk on Vader. But was wondering if any of you got a deformed tusk on Anakin's head?

Looks crooked.
I noticed tonight 2 tiny red dots on the regular Vader head. Strange just right there on his cheek. The dome is crooked so I had already asked for a replacement. Got an email saying I am on the wait list for the new parts, they are on order from the factory.

No complaints. I am happy with mine.

My little concern though ~ will the leather material last.
