As will I. I just hope I can get an exclusive. He doesn't really look complete without the cloak, their Grievous PF was the same way.

Also hopefully they don't charge more than $300 for this. They've certainly been on a roll with price increases lately.

Yea He definitely needs the cloak
But I agree Grievous didn't really need an Ex, he really looks naked without his cloak

Maybe the exclusive isn't ready yet for Sideshow to post a preview. Or maybe someone dropped and broke the prototype and they need to start over.

maybe the tease was just to whet appetites, but they are still waiting for approval from New Line or the Tolkien estate?

Still just trying to take some comfort in knowing the next PF is on it's way, and with the economy sucking hard, it can wait a while...I still have a hard time convincing the wife that this is cheaper than being a 1:6 Star Wars completist!

You would go into the hole immensly nowadays being a SW completist. They are putting up a new one it seems every 2-3 weeks.

Hmm yeah he looks a bit weird without it, I certainly don't hope that will be the Exclusive though! I have bad luck with ordering Exclusives.

At this rate, by the time it does go up it probably won't be releasing till next year. I'm hoping for 4th quarter though.

1st Q '10 seems about right since they've been announcing a lot of stuff for 4th Q. That would explain the long hold up with the "official" announcement.

I'm still holding out hope for this year, but I think you may be right unfortunately. If it does happen at least I have other statues to look forward to this year.

Just watched Fellowship (extended) again yesterday. There is a good chance that he will come without the cloak as he was without it for most of the first film.

I can live with Legolas without the cloak, but I'm still bummed that the Aragorn figure comes from the 10 minutes between leaving Lothlorien and him taking Boromir's Vambraces...

It was an easy custom in 1:6, but will be a ^^^^^ for the PF!


Every week without a PO is another chance to save up...even if you don't have to pay until the order ships, it helps to have already started saving for this figure.

It seems like SS has slowed down a little on a lot of fronts, maybe they aren't as psyched to front the money for making figures if things aren't selling as well these days.

It could be down to the QC problems as well. Recent releases must have cost SSC a chunk in replacements, partial refunds etc. The delay for ole' Leggy suits me as well as it allows reward points to accrue and also means that it is being looked over in plenty of time before general release.
