can you show a picture of what the "bad" version looks like?

i know exactly how you feel though - waiting for a statue that you think will be epic for your collection, only to receive it and find something wrong with it, and now everytime you look at it all you see is the problem and want to get rid of it even though you still want it.

You should not judge the overall quality by that photo. Yes there are paint issues, but that shot was taken to exaggerate the problems, there are lens distortion that makes the sculpt seem distorted, the photo was taken with flash which will exaggerate all flaws, and the picture is blown up which also exaggerate flaws that under normal circumstance would not be nearly as apparent to the naked eye.

uhh, no, the best explanation for the way it looks in the photos is, it just plain sucks balls

All very true but I think the point is that you could take the same photo with a flash up close of my other PF and they dont have these issues.

here is another non-close up flash, and it still looks the same.

This is fromt he same guy I quoted lastly.... the difference in paint quality control is sooooooooo not at the same level. Some Rouge stats may not be that bad, but they are still not at the same face paint level IMO

But i'll say it again, I like the sculpt, and the eye and lips paint are not very difficult to fix, it could be worse, at least is fixeable

This one definitely had some of the nicer pics up. Looks like this one made it up on eBay. Being sold as having "no paint problems". With no returns accepted of course

Got my EX, #543, overall it looks pretty good, and the prints were ok too!

I wouldn't trust the EX head from that angle. Mine also looks very good from that perspective, but when you see her from eye level, her lips look like...

Yeah mine too. Just pointing out that one of the "nicer looking ones" in the thread isn't being kept by the owner of it.

Is it just me or does his normal head have like a giant dent/gouge in the nose?

That's better indeed. At least from that pics!

I'm not very into ps editing of figures, and bla bla but it was tempting.
If i'd fixed the face paint, i would go with something like this, not extreme makeover lol. Not perfect but and improvement imo. ( yes, i'm ps editing on a friday night while my boyfriend is making custom scenes with his 3 3/4 sw figures....)

Sorry to edit you photo, it was the best close up i could find. If you want me to remove the photo, no prob!

I got an email back from side show today but it was the same 5-7 days again in the email they had quoted me on the phone.

i attempted to post a 2 star review yesterday. It has not been posted to the website yet....will they even post it? I said the sculpt was good but they messed up the butt and the face paint.
