Re: Rogue

Ya riky, they are better then most, but shes still not looking to the left as on the box and what was advertised.

Re: Rogue

I put in my request to Sideshow for a replacement REGULAR head. The body and exclusive head are pretty good overall. Not perfect but I don't expect perfection. The bad thing is I'm sure they will just send me another similar head or someone elses reject. It would be great if Sideshow did a new run of these heads and gave everyone that wanted one a new one. I don't see that happening though.

The whole butt thing doesn't bother me. Many here are making too big of a deal about it. It's still nice looking. I'm beginning to think some of you must do unspeakable things with your statues.

I don't like the way the change was somewhat "hidden" from us and I think SS would have been much better off posting pictures and possibly an explanation of the change before hand. If people wanted to cancel the whole statue because of it than so be it. Those people are a little too fixated on the butt and can find pictures of nice butts on the internet for a whole lot less than this statue costs.

Re: Rogue

Differences from the prototype aside, yours looks very good riky, congratulations.

im a arsh man, what can i say. I have a expensive glass case with mirrors on the back and her butt is what sold me the pice. Shes was gonna be in that glass case showing out the font and still be able to see the back.

While the paints are horrible, the sculpt is what i was more interested in. I love the sculpt as shown SDCC, and i look for a sculpt in my collection more then paint since i can redo the paint if needed. I didnt want to drop $300 to resculpt and repaint a grail.

So ya i am fixated on her butt, cause i can appreciate the sculpt that was shown first, not a underhanded bate and switch tactic.

If we dont make a big deal of it now, whos to say SS wont do it over and over and over again. So what happens if Joker PF comes with a different tie color, different paint up on the face, changed cane? just gonna let SS keep sliding sculpt after sculpt?

Re: Rogue

It belongs to a friend :) but I am happy for him.
If I can pick this up cheap down the road I may bite, but i don't feel it is worth the retail price in it's current (altered) condition.

Re: Rogue

I dig that. There is always another option rather than voicing one sided BS. Shutting the hell up is always up for grabs. That option ain't possible in some folks' worlds though.

ha ha ha! :rotfl
Barb your hilarious buddy!
You tell them! Who cant shut his mouth?

Producer/collector/crazy Barbarians!! We all have a right to be heard here!! :wink1:

Oh but wait...those eyes are as advertised...as of now and the new proto photos they (Sideshow) so discreetly posted on their website...:cuckoo:

Re: Rogue

I think what makes me the most angry is doing the bait and switch garbage. I absolute hate that. Baiting and locking me into the NRD and then switching/changing the sculpt without telling me. Similar to what a shady car salesman does. That really pisses me off. Yeah..yeah I'm sending it back, but the fact is Sideshow can do this again and waste everyone's time so it's good for people to voice their opinions on here. That's what the forum is for. Also I just saw the switching of the photos on the website and that is very shady. What kind of bullcrap is that.

Re: Rogue

We're not going to close this thread because people need to be able to discuss something like this.

And I know it's futile to ask people to be reasonable about this kind of thing. I know that if you've made up your mind that no about of logic or reason will change it.

I would ask that people acknowledge that photos can make things look vastly different depending on circumstances.

I'm sure that if you aren't satisfied with Rogue that you'll get a refund from Sideshow on it's return.

Just for some of you to remember. :wave

Re: Rogue

Unfortunately, MOST businesses look at you that way. Not a SSC's defender as I think any company assuring collectors their Q/C is being worked on and the worst example of bad Q/C comes out after this assurance, is not being forthcoming, but most companies see you as a dollar sign.

I know and that's how I look at my customers when they drop off machine at my shop to be worked on. Just don't have to be so blatant with the obvious.

Actually I DON'T treat my customers that way, but it's all about the business you are in. I'm in a business where we live and die by customer service. If we don't exceed expectations there are 15 other companies around they could send their business. SSC's seems to operate under a semi-monopoly mentality, meaning they know they are one of few that provide this level of product and that it is also a product people CHOOSE to get. It's not a necessity or requirement. With that typically goes a lower customer service mentality.

Re: Rogue

SS values its customers and is truly appreciative of them. That has been my experience with them over the last 8 years and how they've treated me at comic-con.

Re: Rogue

We'll see how they appreciate their customers when they decide how to deal with this situation.

I felt that way in the beginning. But two questionable experiences...the Indy PF jacket and this Rogue...I seriously wonder if they are more concerned about mass production and the money or mass production and quality control.

EDIT- 3 experiences. Forgot the Rocketeer head paint job nightmare.

Re: Rogue

Now that is the truth. This will be what matters the most. We all need to wait and see what the solution to this debacle will be. That is what will carry the most weight in this mess.

Re: Rogue

I assume you guys are looking for one of 4 options: 1) full refund; 2) replacement (hoping it will be better); 3) partial refund and keep the existing statue; and 4) repainted heads at factory (which is least likely IMO).
