SS ROTS Yoda Jedi Master Figure

I was digging through some photos and noticed that there are some great sculpts out there. SS just made this kinda meh. I like all the accessories and have been waiting for a good episode 2/3 yoda to do battle with Sidious but this is just a little disappointing.
GG got it right.

Too bad that thing is like $200.00 now. I'd buy one and cast the head.

I saw on sirstevesguide that SS will have this up for preorder today between 2 and 3pm. Exclusive is the holocron and it doesn't look like it lights up at all. Just painted.

Generally new figures just go up with the newsletter... which is in that time frame. I wouldn't worry about sell outs either since they no longer announce the ES size until a couple weeks have passed.

I'll go ahead and get the exclusive, even though I don't recall Yoda ever holding a holocron (or at least one looking like that) in the films

I am guessing the saber blade is removable like the medi. Even the shape of the saber look's different now.

If anything could lure me into PT it would be Yoda.... too bad it won't be this one. There's just something really off about the sculpts.

I trust it will look better in hand... the paints seem a bit heavy handed and the lighting is not very flattering.

Anyway, given I have 7 PT Jedi, this Yoda is a no-brainer

I'm thinking of just grabbing some bits from TA and putting them on my Santa Yoda. At least then I can display the figure durign the other 11 months of the year.

I'm wondering if the new head will be compatible with the old body or not? I assume it will... but you never know if something will be tweaked or not between releases.

Kind of looks like it... but not 100% sure. If it is, that is kind of an odd accessory

Overall a pretty solid figure that is made more purchase-worth with the multitude of accessories. The angry head might be better suited for "that perfect pose" but from the front (and most of the SSC shots) it's a bit of an odd sculpt. That should have been the bonus head versus the lead head option. Some of the hands also seem to be a bit larger than what they should be.

Ideally I would have preferred the levitating chair to have a clear stand, giving it more of a 'hovering' feel but that looks easy enough to replace.

No. Both heads were created specifically for this figure.

looks pretty decent, price isn't too bad either. i may pick this up simply because i don't own a yoda fig yet. Also posing him with gree looks like a nice little display.Not too fond of the floating chair but i like the council chair.

Pretty good value at $100, like the second head a bit more.

Here's the old Hasbro 12" version (Saga Ultimate - 2002) of the same figure for comparison...

I've always liked this Hasbro one.

Anybody have the koto yoda vs Sidious or the GG AOTC yoda bust that can take a pic next to a 1/6 figure to show the proportions?

I'm getting this and am seriously thinking of picking up one of the above to cast the head and swap it out.

I have the light up ghost of yoda on the dahobah log but the head is too small I think.
