Looks pretty good, looking forward to actually seeing this in person.
My only gripe is the saber hilt looks a little untidy.

I just cancelled this based on these videos.

Knowing your standards, I'm not surprised. :)

Comparing the end product to proto shows that SSC simply doesn't
have the right to charge Hot Toys prices yet.

I'm worried about how Vader, Malgus, GG, Han and any other high-priced
SSC figure will turn out

My biggest beef with the sideshow offerings is that the likenesses at times look cartooney. Compared to hot toys the heads seem massive. That being said the Yoda price point is good, and I missed the original SS figure.

$250 for Vader I am not ok with unless there is a huge quality difference between the new one and the ANH version.

I think it looks great, love the accessories, for 89 shipped, this has a lotta goodies. :clap

I agree with you and is about what I expected. To be honest the video did the figure no justice I am guessing. All over the place and too close up most of the time. I appreciate what Sean does but he needs some help on shooting videos and talking.
Yea about the same I got it for with points.
Anyone notice the mispelling on the inner box (1:59 in the vid)? Says twin babes instead of twin babies.:lol

Yeah, the video didn't phase me, I took it for what it was. If this was a 250 buck DX Yoda set I may be worried, but for the price? The chicken Littling in this thread is beyond :lol

Ok I take back the unbought /unsold comment, but this while still not spot on, looks pretty good. Not sure if it's the close ups or the paint apps, but it'd be nice if the texture and casting looked more realistic, but again, could be the shots. Looks sort of shiny. I think mine ships next week, so I'll check it out then.

Had to mute the sound on that video - can't listen to that guy....appreciate the effort, but...ugh. That video is making me reconsider keeping this order...from the caked-on paint apps on the feet and hands to the shiny finish on the heads and whoa...that "pre-melted" looking lightsaber hilt....I don't know.

As others have mentioned...that video isn't doing the figure any favors....

The saber hilt is pretty bad. Didn't the Padawan Obi Wan have paint issues on the back of the head?

yeah i'm sorta with ya'll on the video, its not doing yoda any favors. I suspect its more of the way he did his video then what the product actually looks like in person. from what i've noticed from his videos, their not the types that will encourage you to buy figures if you were on the fence. to be honest, I almost wanted to cancel after that, :lol but I know better so I'm sure it'll look better in hand (hopefully).

Yes he did....that "pig tail" was much lighter than the rest of the hair...must've been the entire run because we did read some reports in here of folks sending it back to SS for a new one and getting another with the same "issue". Rest of the figure was good though...

With this set...I just don't know. I've got the "Jedi Mentor' (ESB version) on display with HT Bespin Luke and it holds up pretty well next to that figure.

Don't know what I would display this one with....too bad there's no Dooku from Sideshow (hint hint)....I can think of several Jedi figures that would display well on that "Council Floor" stand though...

Sure wish some other shots of the production version would pop up...I want to believe that it's just the way this video was done that makes the figure look so....well, not so great. Unfutzed, screaming bright lighting, extreme close-ups...don't really do any figures any favors...but there is that great video "preview" of the Grievous figure that was done shortly after SDCC that really makes that figure shine (convinced me to pull the trigger actually). This video for the Yoda figure...ugh...let's see some other production shots please!
