Hmmm... I just preordered this from BBTS, but may have to cancel. The detail in the face is disappointing. In fact, all the detailing looks to be on par with a $20 NECA figure, worse in some instances. Shame. Will have to meditate on how badly I need a 1/6 yoda.

I would never order from him, sorry, but if you gotta hit mute to make it through a video, you didn't earn a paycheck.

I'd rather see some freaks doing this, we have some pretty entertaining people on this site who do videos. They need to get into these early unboxings.

Had to mute the sound on that video - can't listen to that guy....appreciate the effort, but...ugh. That video is making me reconsider keeping this order...from the caked-on paint apps on the feet and hands to the shiny finish on the heads and whoa...that "pre-melted" looking lightsaber hilt....I don't know.

As others have mentioned...that video isn't doing the figure any favors....

It's a pretty packed set - but yeah, not a high end Yoda figure in the slightest.

Have to say, this makes a complete joke out of all that "SS are getting as good as HT" rubbish that people were saying. IMHO this is horrible, worst thing I've seen them release in a very long time..

That outer robe is gonna need a lot of help to get it to look like its fitting naturally. There are many other problems with this figure but that's the one I will focus on.

I just took a quick look at the video…on mute…and I have to agree that the figure looks a bit toyish. HOWEVER, all his figures in the video look toyish, including the Hot Toys figures that pop up in there. He seems to have a unique talent in making any figure, no matter how great in real life, look cheap. So I would really wait til there are more in hand photos and videos before you all rush in with your pitchforks and torches.

And really, you can't find any 1/6 figure for that price any more. Especially considering with what he comes with, I think it's a good deal. Remember, the average Hot Toys price is now about $225, and the average Sideshow price is now about $175 (key word is "average").

Agree with MAD - If I EVER have to watch one of his videos (I try to avoid) I always mute them - It is uncanny - he has an ability to take a high end figure and reduce it to a plastic kids toy simply by the way he shoots his videos. Just not a good represenative for reviewing these type of collectibles.

This is true. I was trying to find some info on HT DX Bespin Luke and stumbled across his review and marveloed at how cheap Luke looked in his vid. Part of it is the way he habdles them, a lot of it is bland no thought lighting and part is that he shoots coose ups constantly on what is clearly an average to bad camera.

Factor in the sublimnal part where his mere involvement adds a taint of disgust and you have a recipe for disliking whatever you are seeing.
