Ah, okay, thanks for that, Maulfan. I was thinking about letting Vaderkin have the unignited hilt because I lost the original one under the nightstand, and I think a mouse ran off with it.

You could do it, but you'll have to have him hold it, it doesn't have the piece to let you clip it to the PT belt.

I got mine today and had some problems. As soon as I got the blaster free from the packaging, the barrel snapped off. Then part of the holster came undone.

I'm going to contact Sideshow about replacing the blaster. The holster seems repairable, I just wish I knew what kind of glue should be used.

And am I the only one having trouble keeping the magnetic gun strap to stay in place? Mine seems week.

The rest of the figure looks fantastic. head sculpt seems a little too asymmetrical but it doesn't effect the likeness at all. the costume is perfect, I hope to give it a water treatment so it rests on the figure properly.
The only real issue I have with the figure is the non functioning pouches on his belt, what happened Sideshow?

I am actually glad that they opted for a more realistic scale on the belt pouches... 1) There are no extra accessories to put in them and 2) the PT Jedi pouches make the belts a touch too cluttered.

Besides Jedi Luke has a pouch that doesn't open as well.. so does Han actually.

Here you go Marc.

IGNITED - Anakin / Luke

UNIGNITED - Luke / Anakin

SABERS.jpg

Even on these 1/6 replicas, you can see the things I mentioned. Also, the ignite switches are different, and the ROTS Obi-Wan and Anakin sabers both had this circuit board design on the outter side of the ignition unit, where the OT Luke sabers had a pattern that almost looks like piano keys.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I love that Sideshow used the styrofoam end caps for protection inside the shipping box. They did the same for Darth Maul and it's greatly appreciated.

Even if the shipping box gets dinged up, the actual figure box is less likely to get damaged.

Good job, SS!

Thank you for posting that. I love the variation... It makes my imagination go a bit... Like what circumstances would have required Old Ben to upgrade or replace pieces of both his lightsaber and Anakin's. :D

I think he just got bored sitting a cave for 20 years.:D

Awesome pics... Keep them coming as I'm stuck in purgatory while I wait for the Luke Exc to be shipped with the Leia Exc. AND the Sandtrooper dio-- oh well, it saves on shipping and I'll just have to live vicariously through these pictures. The figure looks great.

I pity those collectors who are only buying one of each character...

Its really impressive how much work went into altering the lightsaber... I just assumed they'd rehash Anakins for ESB and ANH Luke... but not so! Very cool :rock

I don't think the scale is that far off with opening pouches, and the solid cast non functioning pouches just remind me of the Ultimate Soldier crap from 8 years ago, in this day where most 1:6 companies have opted for real cloth pouches, I expect at least working plastic pouches from SSC.

The pouches on Han are way too small to have function and since they're open without flaps, it doesn't bother me at all, the one that comes with Jedi Luke, yeah they shouldv'e made that one function too, but it's small enough and in the back so it's not as noticeable as Bespin Luke's pouches. I can except that more.
But Bespin Luke's pouches are large, out front, and very noticeable. regardless of whether they gave him accessories or not, they really needed to function at the price point we're paying on these figures.

I just realised an interesting irony; a few of us are having loose write wrist pins, funnily enough it's the arm that needs the Exclusive med unit :lol

Mine is loose too. I wonder why this is. I didn't say anything before because honestly it doesn't bother me that much. But with this many of us have the problem I am starting to think Lukes across the country were feeling frisky on the way to their future homes. :lol :monkey5 :monkey5 :lol :monkey3

The lightsaber is awesome! I love how much detail they put into both the look and paint. And they even appeared to have improved the look of the blades with a more realistic color and a straighter blade/hilt connection. One thing I disliked most about past releases was that the blades sometimes were glued in crooked.
I now wish they'd rerelease Maul's lightsabers with the improved design.

Nice Josh, Luke looks ready to kick some ass and take some names.

Quick creative image.

"Ben, why didn't you tell me?"

Thanks Sean! Its a simple pose but I like it.

Great shot too! I almost posed mine with the thing on his arm.

Awesome pictures guys! Mine still hasn't shipped, I hope it ships Monday!
