Thanks Khev, I like your gun slinger shots, I can't do too many of those poses with my loose wrist joint, but he does ok. Scale of figures doesn't bother me too much unless it's a dramatic difference. Boba and Luke just look like too really nicely made figures together, my attention isn't drawn to their height,

Agreed. And since I often pose my figures with a bit of a lean or crouch to them the scale would become less apparent still. My Luke has the loose wrist too, I thought it was from me reefing on it trying to get his gun hand on until reading about others experiencing the same thing. He can hold his blaster just fine though, I might do a body swap at a later date with a future short body character, but I might not bother. It hasn't been a problem with any poses I've tried to achieve.

Interestingly enough I didn't notice that the gun that came with mine has a slightly bent barrel until after I took this pic.

I do plan on contacting SS for that one since its a very simple thing to replace and I intend to display him wielding the blaster for the majority of the time. That's exactly why I order direct; total peace of mind for things like that. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing any repaints, I'm pleased with the factory paint apps but might have to hit up DarkArtist or Les for a commission. :) The sculpt is there, some custom paint could put this one even further off the charts.

Ok I know I'm nuts but I went ahead and ordered a second (thanks for some early x-mas money from an aunt) and I'm going to display the splint. Plus I get a free SS calender I read.

A lot of people have the bent barrel.

Let me take a look at my test shots of my Yavin luke to see how it was put together. (Yavin Luke test shots came with Bespins Lightsaber and Blaster)

All those great pictures made me bummed I canceled but all then the joint and blaster problems talk make me think its not so bad that I passed.

Don't let something as minor as the gun thing distract you. It's a great piece.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I am all for getting a replacement part if it is necessary. But come on. Other than the ones that actually broke...if they are bent it is VERY easy to correct them by heating them. I actually think the barrels were glued on crooked. I straightened BOTH of mine and they are every bit as good as I want them. If I can fix the wrist problem...I am golden. If not...I will talk to SS about replacements. But I won't use super glue on them...I am **** about doing damage to the figure to correct a problem. I am going to heat the wrist, and try to press it together with a needlenose pliers over a cloth to keep the mannequin from getting gouged up.

On another note...I actually think that I heated the blasters until the glue in the barrel softened. I an going to try this on the Kit Fisto that has an elbow joint glued solid. I am hoping it works.

Not sure if the entire statement is sarcastic :lol, but yes, that's Medicom Boba Fett.
No sarcasm here; I'm really surprised that they look so good together considering how many Medi and Sideshow figures don't match up in that department (though granted my frame of reference is the Medi Vader, which I think is a bit shrimpy in comparison to other Medicom figures, much less Sideshow).

Also, please don't let this isolated observation touch off another Sideshow vs. Medicom bit, because SSC Luke Bespin and Medi Boba look fabulous together. :banghead :blissysmi :banghead

Got mine, heres a couple of crappy pictures.

A few cons. Paint apps are a tad sloppy nothin to cry about.Holster is fragile as hell at least on mine.Saber does not hang like it should ring is too small.

But it looks great and should not be missed,For 60$ it's perfect as long as the price stays there.I'm still used to my Medicom and Hot Toys quality though.

It's for sure MH you can see it perfect, If you have not gotten it i suggest you do.Pics don't do it justice except for maulfans.:D(over all i still think the jedi luke beats this out by a tad)

Double the awesome ! sideshow is replacing my Broken Holster! no shipping! Soo happy :)

Even better, I fixed the busted one by having me fiancee sew the legstrap to the holster. So if it ever breaks again, I've already got my spare :)
Now I just need to wait for the replacement body for the floppy arm.

Got my Luke today, and just finished emailing the Customer Service folks. One sleeve on his jacket was sewn on backwards! BUT, I have to say, this figure is fantastic. This is my favorite Luke, and one of the most iconic looks of the series for me, and they really did it justice. Even the QC problems can't overpower his awesomeness. Now for the long, slow return process...

Yep, just got an email saying they're sending me a new gun. So no hair dryer hassles for me to worry about. SS :rocks'!

How long did it take for you to get a response from Sideshow? I haven't heard anything yet.

I just received my Bespin Luke, and.. alas..

He has a cut lip! Like a knife slipped. :(

As well, the rivets on his belt have some excess flashing.. Time to e-mail Sideshow. :(
