Here's the dilemma:

If you want to use the awesome face (gritted) but you want him sitting on his throne... it's gonna look like he's straining to take a dump.

What do you do?

Not if you have him looking at Luke. "You, like your father, are now, mine!" It's brief but he makes the same face as when he's zapping Luke.

I guess the throne does look a little small.. but that maybe because the SS Palps' hood is flared. Either way, it don't bug me.

It's partly the hood, but also, Palpatine sits very lounged back in the movie, almost like he's in a Laz-E-Boy taking a rest, not sure if intentional, but it adds to his arrogant persona to be overseeing everything and just sitting back like, meh. If the SSC figure were sat in there to look more laying back and the hood flattened, I bet it'd look just right.

sweet. I knew the throne wouldn't be as much as the Cobra Commander throne.

This thing being nearly the price of Jabba and throne just doesn't seem right, but I guess thats 3 years toy inflation for you.
