God bless the innocent people who lost their lives last night. My heart goes out to their family and friends. And I hope anyone who was injured as well as everyone who had to endure such a traumatic experience recovers well and with ease.
Enterainment venues now need to have security checkpoints just as airports do. The level of security is necessary to protect the lives of the innocent and ensure safety and security and a better quality of living. I hope something is done after this.

Yeah mate jumped on the EX day 1
I was tre` excited when SS got the DC license and was on the lookout for thier fist DC piece. He and Bats are gonna look rad together. If I didn't have him on order already I'd be jumping on the reg right now coz there's a lot of batman hype around right now - a certain movie is out if u know what I mean.

it is a bless for collectors when SSC announced the DC license last summer. DCDirect is just plain bad and every of their recent releases are getting worse and worser each time.

Well green lateen was bad ass from dc direct. I saw it and my jaw drop at how good this was. It looked just like the Jim lee version. Also had tons of extras on the base. Much much better in person.

Agreed. I love SS but I don't want them to start mass producing PFs into the thousands. I want quality collectibles that not a lot of people own so hopefully they'll keep the ES of the Ex to around or under what Joker's ES was. I'll lose interest in the DC license if they make too many of these guys. If there were 5000 Doctor Doom PFs kicking around he wouldn't be as special a piece to own IMO. I know there are millions of Batman fans, but still, I collect SS for a reason: their pieces are RARE. Here's to a smaller ES. Unfortunately, probably wishful thinking on my part so if that's the case I will just stick to buying Batman and Supes and then I'm done with DC PFs.

Unfortunately, probably wishful thinking on my part so if that's the case I will just stick to buying Batman and Supes and then I'm done with DC PFs.

i'm not too worried about it. the fact that it soldout already is a good indication that the EX will easily be worth more as soon as this thing starts shipping. hopefully its not an insane number on the ES but with it being BATMAN, it will always be in demand.

It's just like if they made 3750 Doctor Doom pieces they wouldn't be as special b/c so many of them would be kicking around on ebay, etc. A real fan wouldn't sell their Batman Ex and I won't sell mine I just think that making thousands of the same piece makes it less unique. That's a very good point. I definitely have to own Supes and Batman Ex. Just hope they keep the Ex ES in check a little.

you have to keep this in perspective too though. as SSC gets more and more popular, there are more and more people entering the collecting arena. so, even though ESs may rise, the % of EXs available shouldnt change that much. therefore, the value shouldnt either. i'm not worried...even 3000 is a small number if you think of how many people actually will want this thing in a few years. of course, i still hope it comes in at 2000.

honestly there is no reason not to keep the EX edition sizes low. If they want to sell 3000 statues they can have 1000 EX and 2000 regs, if they want to sell 10,000 statues they can still have 1000 ex and 9000 regs. If someone likes the statue and can't get the EX they are most likely going to get the reg. If your going to have huge editions of the EX, why bother with an EX at all, just make them all the same.

Haha, you're putting things into perspective for me. Darth Vader's Ex PF ES came in at 2000 and he's still pretty hard to find. That guy's comment just got me to thinking like "OH NO, what if they make 5000 of these...?" But, true -- it IS Batman and they'll probably do the same ES or a bit over what they did with Joker. Regardless, it's a must have PF and we did score the Ex.
