Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Here is what I mean by less overblown anatomy

The Superman PF on the far right of the screen, done by Andy B, has a more natural looking anatomy that shows the muscle groupings, but not every single muscle in them. It is more subdued and just more appealing to me ... BUT

Like it was mentioned the more natural lit shot of GL seems to mute out some of the anatomy issues for me... like so

It is what makes me consider it at all really.
Like everyone, at first I hated the GL statue, but now I think it's amazing. Anyone who likes GL and doesn't like this PF ( I don't get that anymore), especially the EX version will be very sad when it's released because it will promptly sell out within a day or less once in hand pics are posted. I'm not a fan of GL, so won't be getting him, but even I considered it for the possibility of a JL set! Let alone just because he really does look great..

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I guess we should consider every character's universe separately so the different approaches about base design should make sense. Batman's and Joker's base is compatible right now but Superman's not cause he has his own world like he's always a boy scout but Batman is not:) So we can't expect the same design like X-Men for the base. I believe in the near future SS consider to make a Justice League line separately...

Each base so far is VERY much intricate and dedicated to THAT characters world. My only issue with the GL base is that it does not get tit to the same size and height as Bats and Supes

I really don't know what people are complaing about. The stance the anatomy....What's wrong with it. That is what I look like when I walk.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I don't see how any of the Justice League members can be matched when they are on different bases. Batman is on a gargoyle and Superman is on the fortress of solitude. The X-Men pfs with the X base look great together. The Superman and Batman busts go well because the bases have the same sculpt.

I for one am glad that they are on different bases. Not all of us are going to have them displayed together. I collect the X-Men PFs and do not like the bland bases and would've preferred unique bases. What makes it worse is that they recycle the bases and charge even more

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Ummm... wrong. Batman: Brave and The Bold was awesome. A perfect balance with BTAS. And some of the episodes are among any of the best Batman shows.
Truthfully, I only got far as the 1st season. Were improvements made in later seasons? I didn't like writing. They were all stand-alone episodes. I prefer double-episode or season-long story arcs.

Oh yeah. There were even a couple multiple-episode arcs (including a Starro one!) and even a few darker ones. Not BTAS dark, but close. And Paul Dini & J.M. Dematteis also wrote some episodes. "Chill of The Night" in particular is one I'd put up against any episode of Batman from any show. And there's one with The Spectre & Phantom Stranger that is just amazing.

It still has it's campy and goofy episodes in the other seasons, and those are fun too. But there's some really great stuff as well. And they even bring Superman and Wonder Woman in a couple of times. Also characters like Deadman, Dr. Fate, The Question and even Doom Patrol and Uncle Sam & The Freedom Fighters!

Yes!:clap "Chill of the night" (I think that was the name of the episode) is among my favorite Batman anything... And I appreciate every incarnation from '39 on up... Not a fan of Bat-Mite though :cuckoo:
