I love that I'm being accused of not being able to handle disagreements when I debate with people on these forums in fun all the time.

My issue has to do with just what he's doing now. Trolling.

Yeah, I was trolling because I didn't accept that his art degree and superior anatomy knowledge made his OPINION more important then anyone elses

Oh well, I'm man enough to be able to handle people disagreeing with me. Iggy me all you want, I'm cool with it, however I won't ignore posts I disagree with, like say making an informed decision about Affleck's portrayal as Batman, rather then ranting on a message board at the mere mention of his name

IMO Nolan Ruined Batman (and now Superman). World's Dumbest Detective. Fight scenes look slow and stupid. Voice is just plain annoying. World's Dumbest Detective. I love Batman!

I don't think he was dumb in the Nolan films, I also don't think they played up the detective role as much as they could have. I think they left a lot of the Chemistry and Gadgetry to Fox, which in a real world way does make sense but again, isn't exactly true to the character.

I think we're all still waiting for that Live action Batman film that more closely follows TAS formula. Course, the WB doesn't seem to want to give us that.

Dude you said it right there, for all his blah blah crap talk Nolan didn't get the essence of Batman. First of all Batman would NEVER disappear for 8 years and not know what the hell was happening in Gotham, he's obsessed with what he does (in all incarnations). His being Batman is waaaaay too important to him. He always kept his eyes or ears on the streets. Secondly all Bale had to do was to check the newspapers to understand that something was definitely up in the sewers. Third, he wouldn't have gone to Catwoman (whom he barely knew and just recently robbed him) to help him find Bane (that was effin' laughable) and get set up. Batman would've gone to her knowing that she was going to set him up (because she's a lost criminal) and had a contingency plan just for that. Or he would've scoped the sewers out himself without Bane's knowledge (all mysterious in the shadows and ****). Or just asked Commissioner Gordon (whom he never contacted. Where were the scenes where Batman sneaks into the Commissioner's hospital room? Like he would've. Underplaying the Detective role is NOT playing it in my opinion because that is ONE of the MAIN things that makes Batman who he is. Also Batman has and never will be as slow as Bale. Just my nickel (no more pennies up here in Canada lol)

FVCK the WB. They need to fire their DC crew and Goyer. They dont understand these characters and they're ruining them. Another reason I hate Nolan's involvement with established characters. He's like Bay in that he's ruining my childhood slowly but with better looking movies.

Well Actually if he's basing part of the story off the Dark Knight Returns yes Batman did disappear for longer than 8 years. Remember part of the story is that with the Dent Act in Place, crime is mostly under control with the police. Batman isn't really needed, which is why he's in seclusion. Not saying I like that story but it's plausible. As for trusting Catwoman, remember in the comics he's fallen for her before and sometimes regretted it but he's always come out on top. Like said before by Jaws, I would have preferred they follow Knightfall more closely than what they did.

Saying all that, these are good films, not great, but they hardly ruin the mythos. Now Superman snapping someones neck...I have a harder time with that. Oh and just so you know, Nolan was against the end of MOS and they some how convinced him it was okay. In Any case, I just say let Bruce Timm direct a live action film...he and Dini obviously get it.

You make a good point but you also have to remember that the movie version of Batman isn't and probably will never even come close to being what the Batman that we all know and love and by that I mean the pre new 52 Batman. All the Nolan trilogy did was take a bunch of element from old action movies(take your pick) and mixed them together with elements from Batman. Also not a big fan of Goyer's writing all he proved was that its ok for the hero to kill(when he/she isn't suppose to and that its totally ok to cause Billions of dollars in property damage.
