Relax guys, I thought the prototype pics were sweet but the production piece (I'm assuming this one is) looks like it has toothpick legs and it throws off the proportions.

It's not just the boots and calves that look skinny, the feet look really small. I might have to do some customization to give him bigger feet (I can't leave him with the girly feet).

Sounds like a good idea. I was thinking the Comedian's boots would look good too, but they would be much harder to come by.

Sideshow's "no futzing" is for the purpose of giving figures the "right out of the box" look. So as not to give collectors a false impression of what they are gonna have in hand when the figure arrives.

This strategy, however, does no seem to apply to showing paint apps that are far superior to what the finished product will have.

Any figure needs a little time spent on it so it can be displayed properly.

Maybe I can snag myself a couple pairs then. They'll make for some nice SciFi /Fantasy style Joe characters.

I pointed this out a looooooooooong time ago when production shots of Snake Eyes were causing people to cancel their orders. Got a nice little PM from a "VIP" and a love note from "you know who" asking me not to pic on the VIPs.

Bottom line, which I still agree with, is that while I can understand Sideshow's "out of the box" POV, when showcasing your product for the world to buy it's always wise to put your best foot forward.

Yeah, its an odd policy, especially since they are apperently okay with shipping out stuff with sub par paint apps.

Not really a Ninja collector,but the Ninja Viper is pretty cool.
Of course I swapped heads the one that was on the fig looked like Beachhead.....? Still great job Sideshow!!!
