UN-F'NG-BELIEVABLE!

UPS didn't try to deliver this to my house until 6:30pm, when I was at night school, and no one was home. Tomorrow, I'm leaving for a road trip that's 300 miles away and no one will be home to sign for this. I can't ask them to let me pick it up from their warehouse because they only open to the public from 2pm-6pm, and I'm leaving at 12pm (and even then they only hold packages for five business days and I'll be gone until next Thursday, seven days later). They won't let me sign the invoice slip that's been left from the first delivery attempt so they can just leave it behind my fence, or something). And I have no way of delivering it to my neighbors as both sides of my house is surrounded by apartments...

Can't you go online and fill out a change of delivery address slip and have it delivered to a friends house or work or somplace where somebody will be there? I think it will cost you like $10 but I have done that a few times in the past.

They don't explain it well. Basically BOTH of the large openings go over his head. The 2 thin straps tie around his waist and 2 of the long fabric strips with wires go in the front of him, 2 in the back.

What is confusing about the cloth part is his hood is part of it, it's just sewn back so you can't put it over his head. That's what the big bunch of seemingly excess fabric is around that area.

I really hope episode3 obi pf comes out soon and a mace windu the lightsabers would look awsome with the new technology, I hope they due an episode 3 darth sidious too.

Microdragon, you seem to be a big Maul fan how do you feel about the orange?

I dont mind unless its beside a red character.

That Koto Maul looks good, does it light up well?

Orange? Really? High end collectible company paints probably the easiest character on the PLANET to paint, the wrong ____in color?
My first, and probably only SW PF of my FAVORITE character, and they paint him ORANGE instead of RED? REALLY?

I'm sorry, I just don't understand. $315, right? Really? Now I have to go pay for painting classes because the professionals can't do it right?

It's not like he has a slightly lazy eye, or the paint on his horns is not very good. He's a whole different god damn color. So ____ing disappointed.

I just watched the backstage pass from quite a while back and a vid of it at comic-con and it was quite orange all along, its only the pics on SSC page that makes it look more red than it is, so it seems throughout the entire production process it was intended.

Like i said before it is unfortuante, i give it a 8.5 /10 thats 1 point off for the colour not being as vibrant as advertised on the items page and .5 for not being able to use the hood.

This baby will have an entire shelf for himself so when not surround by darker more vibrant reds like the Talon and Maul PF it looks fine.

I really love this peice one of my fav starwars characters , I missed out on the first darth maul but iwould have to agree with you he should have been darker red. The pic on my box looks dark red but then when you take him out the box he is a light red orangish looking. I still love mine though and am glad I got it it looks amazing lit up.

#91/500 arrived in PA yesterday! Can't wait to get some pics up here. I must say the light saber is awesome! Much better than the older ones by a longshot! You could barely tell the lights were on in well lit rooms with some older PFFs... this one is bright & very noticable no matter what the lighting! Gotta admit he is lighter than expected, (aka "dark orange) but the pant job is great regardless. Congrats to all else who aquired him!

Congrats, i got #195/500 this morning, i had to put this guy away and i miss him already may have to shift some stuff to keep him out til my new cabinet arrives.

Just opened mine. Can't get the bloody saber to light! I thought perhaps the batteries were at fault, so tried the plug, but the most I can seems to get them to light (through wiggling the arm) is about one third of the way up. Got to call Sideshow in the morning. Otherwise, this is quite an impressive piece!

Anyone else have similar problems? His arm is pretty loose.

I agree regarding the orange - but not a deal breaker.

the "savage" koto version does light up as well.

It's ok if you don't compare with other red colour. This is the only thing Im not quite satisfied.

The koto maul looks amazing but too small and made of PVC. Yes, it can lighted up, but not bright enough. The best of SSC maul is the lightsaber, from now on we can have SW PFs with new lightsabers.

Thanks for all the ideas about my shipping problem, but the deal is I live secluded, alone, in a city 15 miles away from any friends or family because of school. Having the item redirected would cost extra money beacuse it's more than 10 miles away from its original destination. And it's because the warehouse only has hours from 2pm-6pm that I couldn't go and pick it up before I left (have left and am already in Los Angeles and not Berkeley as of this typing).

I think I might be ok, I had to wait this extra day so that UPS would hold it until next Friday when I would be back home. Problem now is that I have class during that day and I'm gonna have to leave early from one and go in late to another just so I can make the trip out to the warehouse
