Yet people would complain if the droids, Chewbacca and Stormtrooper PF's came out back to back because they weren't spaced out more so they wouldn't have to drop a lot of money in a short period.

Oh come on. The number of people who would complain about something like that is quite small, and in any case who said they had to come out back-to-back? Just releasing one of them, or any one of dozens of possible characters like cantina aliens or bounty hunters would keep people happy.

double portriat all the way. oh my god, oh my god............what does this mean???.........doubleeeee portriat...........its almost a triple portriat..........:monkey2:monkey2

Funny how everyone hates it here and at SF they find it amazing.this will sell out.You cant deny the amazing craftmanship in this.kudos to Sideshow.

As someone who doesn't follow EU it's a fantastically crafted piece. As far as design goes it's really lacking. So fail for Lucasfilms and win for SS. It will sellout due to the SW following.

Lets get clear.... it is an Amazing piece !!! I was expecting something else at this time point and not another EU character but ...an easy buy for me , after all it`s Darth_Maul..........:yess:

This piece is visually beautiful. Very well designed and more of the line pushing that I know I've been wanting from SSC for PFs. I don't care much for the character but its definitely a nice looking piece. I don't like enough to blow over $300 on it but I can't fault the actual piece for the character choice.

That is... interesting...

I say you guys need to buy the exclusive since it ain't just a photocopy of a piece of art!

He was.

In 2005, Dark Horse Comics published Star Wars: Visionaries, a compilation of comic art short stories written and illustrated by members of the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith art department and ILM artists. The opening story, "Old Wounds" by Aaron McBride, is set three years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, and begins with Owen Lars trying to teach new words to a toddler-age Luke Skywalker. A resurrected Darth Maul, with cybernetic replacements to his entire lower body, attacks the Lars homestead in hopes of drawing Obi-Wan out; he reveals that he has been tracking Obi-Wan ever since their encounter on Naboo, barely missing him at key points in the films. Obi-Wan, for fear of any injury to the young Luke, dusts off his old lightsaber, and meets Maul's challenge. At a pause in the ensuing struggle, Lars shoots Maul in the head, killing him.

The EU has had some great stories. I always enjoyed this one where Maul comes back after Obi-wan, along with another where some Dark Side Adepts trick Darth Vader into an ambush against a resurrected Maul. After the battle is over it's hinted that Sidious set it all up to make sure he has the right apprentice.

You know Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen.
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all?

Darth Maul the red-faced reindeer
Had a very horny head
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it's dread.

I'm willing to bet now that the Pre-Cyborg Grievous in the pipeline is a PF as well.

sideshow has hinted at that already but not sure which format. i put my order in for hte cyborg maul ex,,,,this is too wicked to pass up!!!!!!!!

I think that reindeer's name is actaully Donder. But I could be wrong.

It was said elsewhere, but I'm also somewhat surprised at choices that SS makes. We can have the most obscure character in a story even some Star Wars fans are unaware of, but we cannot have a pivotal character such as Gimli or Samwise for the LOTR collectors. I know its about what a particular license can carry, and money, of course. But it stinks.

I will agree he looks awesome, but I don't see a huge demand for this particular figure.

Coolest PF since General Grievous. :rock I wish I could afford it. Totally bowled me over, Sideshow. :clap Very well done.

Did anyone else notice how the waist-down design mirrors the architecture of General Grievous? Pretty cool.

$200 in reward points? Hmmm ...

:slap
Just...WOW. They got balls to do it in polystone and wrap a PF price around it. It would've been more enticing in 12" but as a PF, and priced as such, it's as appealing as fanboy funk.

It looks like the legs are 1:3rd. Was the lower body that out of scale with the upper on the EU version?
