I made a little trip during a long lunch.

The head portrait...

looks much better with the beret on.

I'm blaming Kara and all his tittybaby _____ing for this. It went from Couture awesomeness to some weirdo with a funky haircut and mismatched eyebrows in an effort to make him look "more like flint." :tap

Hey Darth Cruel, can we expect some more pictures? Based on what I'm seeing thus far, I may eat the fifteen bucks and bag this ugly mother_____!:gah:

Yes sir. I am working on it now. These are just quickies, though. I will try to get a few better ones up after work.

Edit - Oh, and despite how the portrait looks without the Beret...this figure gets as high a recommendation as any of the other Joes. There are a few things I need to tweek. The shotgun shell straps hold the shells closely together and that strap id separate from the harness. So it curls pretty badly. Some of the shells were difficult to get into the spots for the as each loop is individually sewn and not all are exactly the same size.

it figures!

All issues, though are minor and absolutely NOT grounds to disregard the figure.

Lots of choices on the patches

I preferred Flint with his pistol belt through the loops of his pants...don't really know why.

One for the purists :))). I prefer the modern shotgun, myself. Flint comes with 4 extra Shotgun shells besides what he fits on his harness.

Thank you muchly Mr Cruel!:clap Actually, Sideshow should thank you, they get to keep my money! Looks much better in those shots. Last time I'll bother you, but did they in fact change the stand?

I was wondering why the harness wasn't in your initial pics; so we have to add them ourselves, huh? And the shotgun shells....:slap

It was a big enough pain putting Snake Eye's Uzi magazines into his harness, I can't imagine a dozen or so shotgun shells..

20 shotgun shells...ten per side. Most of them were easy. I only had trouble with two and I found that if you hold the front and back of each loop between your thumb and finger and rock the shell back and forth...that makes it a lot easier.

The straps come attached...that part does not need to be assembled. Here is a pic. The ends of the shell straps are loops that are on the harness...the shell straps will slide on the harness. You can see how those straps curl up and they stick out toward the front when they are on Flint.

Edit - You can porbably just put the shell straps higher on Flint's shoulders and not even notice it.

I don't know what you think they tried to change. Based on what we were shown, it looks precisely like the prototype template except that the facial details are too "soft" and the factory paint job isn't very good. Does not look great based on those close up shots. I hope it will be better in person.

Gotcha. Thanks for the advance pics; I have to wait until thursday for Flint to arrive in VA.

I am looking forward to getting Flint home and getting some better shots. This IS a badass figure! Even the shell straps are strating to lay better. I think they might be stretching a little. I need to work on the belts as well...gotta show the Buckle for his pistol belt.

You must be new to collecting military figures. :nana: Most of the fun is getting them put together. :huh

Don't try to weasel your skinny little ass out of this one. It's your fault! :lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly::pfft:
