Its on par with 95% of everything Sideshow has ever done. So cant say I am in the least bit surprised, nor should anyone else be.

What does surprise me a bit is Sideshows absolute refusal to improve. They seem perfectly content with taking a dump on excellent sculpt after excelent sculpt. And not just in 1/6 but in pretty much everything line they do. What a bunch of jackasses. Oh well, old argument.

Anyway, still excited to get him in hand.

PS. free advice. never take super close-up shots of a sideshow figure if you're the first to get it. it just brings the baby birds out.

Why is the paint on $124.99 Flint no better than that of $49.99 Bespin Han? Seriously. I gave them a pass on Duke because he's Duke and kicked so much ass otherwise. Not anymore with so many other collectibles stepping up their game. Wait list cancelled.

Nah, I caught that. Just didn't have time to add the various emoticons to give my post context. Main thing I hate about internet boards is that grown men are reduced to using emoticons to convey context.

When it was announced way back when that a beret-less portrait was included, I was intrigued, and waiting for pics. Now we know why Sideshow decided not to show pics. Dukes' helmet looks great on him, even with his signature flat top. Because Flint's beret is so form fitting, I guess Sideshow had to minimize any hair.

It would be interesting to see how the unpainted head sculpt looks.

Beachhead is coming with a beret too, right? I wonder how snug his beret will fit on his faux hawk. From the proto pics, it loks like it fits pretty well.

I just recently got a True Type 16 for my Steel Brigade figure that sports the Dominic Purcell head sculpt, though he may be a bit too unshaven, I think he'll make a good substitute for Flint. A better choice then the Expendables Stallone head sculpt imo. I know I'll be using it when I eventually buy Flint.
