Ok, take 2 years or more then to announce PO after movie have been released hahahaha

It makes perfect business sense. Tease Rocket and Star Lord, watch GOTG get released in theaters and then surprisingly become the highest grossing film of 2014, then cancel them. :cuckoo:

I'm sure it's not that simple. Lol

Hey maybe we can ask all ask XM to make GotG stats since they listen in on the threads. Just a thought

how long do these things usually take? do we really have to wait to sdcc 2015 to see the actual figure?

Who knows what could of happened? Maybe Marvel was able to change the terms of the license agreement (more money for Marvel, less for Sideshow), after seeing the movie's success, and Sideshow chose not to do it. So many things could of happened, so no one knows. Sideshow is a business and I'm sure they'd love to put the GotG PF's out, but something obviously happened, which prevented them from doing so.

I sacrifice the PF for a 1:1 prop replica of the Helmet & Blasters anyone know if they are in the works anywhere?

I was at my local comic shop this afternoon, and it would seem, according to the owner, that SSC, like Bowen designs, just lost the Marvel rights... which would explain why they announced so much Marvel statues lately and all of a sudden that some projects like this one got put on hold. It might just be a hiatus until it is renewed, but right now, and at least for Europe, only XM has rights to do new 1/4 scale marvel statues.

I really doubt SSC lost the rights if they showed a new line of 1/6 products at SDCC and new statues. Maybe the contract is being renegotiated :dunno

They might have lost the rights of 1/4th statues or they're being renegotiated. Well, that's what I was told today, hope it isn't true actually, because that would mean no competition which is bad for us collectors.

I just wonder who they would give the rights to then? Interesting that they would drop SSC if true. I wonder what it could be?

Also with Bowen not having the license what are they doing now?
