Yep. At this point I would rather buy the new ucs lego snowspeeder over this figure to satisfy my "snowspeeder" needs.

I'm still waiting for them to ship mine. Tracking says label created for more than a week now.

But pretty orange Hoth Pilot is so tempting...

I was on the fence also... and fell over it. I ordered a few months ago with a $20 coupon. So to me it was more $250 than $270. At $250 he's at least as good as Phasma right? Plus take out the $28 deposit, that gave me two easy payments of $111 + shipping! Gotta see things positive.

His puffiness doesn't bug me, in hand things are often better. I think he looks so damn cool in that suit, and the helmet/with sculpt looks so good. Who cares about the other sculpt? For instance, I still love my Hoth Luke even if he got blasted back then along with Hoth Han, mostly because they're Sideshow... I have HT Chewie, and to me he's not as good as Hoth Luke. Depends on your tastes I guess.

Just look at the number of comments this figure has been getting... There is definite interest! I'm anxious for it to ship so we can finally get the real picture!

I'm in the boat(oh I mean Snowspeeder) that says the figure is looking good so far. The head sculpt doesn't look good in those washed out pictures, but the helmeted sculpt and the rest of the figure look really nice. This was one I was really looking forward to. Time for Luke to leave Echo Base and come to IndyMOS Base.

Just keep looking at the photos/price and it should not be too hard to convince yourself to pass.

Understood. But I've been saving Reward Points for two years and thinking this is the figure to go out on. It will end up costing me about $80 (half of that is shipping and CA tax)... so I'm looking at this figure with different eyes.

Is it worth $80... and the freedom of escaping the endlessly accruing RPs that there's never anything good to spend them on?

They would work just as well on the Hot Toys Snowtrooper, Death Star Gunner, Yoda, Royal Guard, Hoth Leia, Emperor, ROTJ Luke.

$270 is still $270 regardless of if reward points are used or not. Can't justify it on this one. Sad thing is it's only exclusive to SS, so I'm not sure the price will tank on the second market like X-Wing Luke did.

That's my point. I can get all those other figures for far less than Sideshow charges so I don't even bother with them anymore.

But an Exclusive figure to SS becomes a little harder to find on ebay for a lot less... and I got to burn the points on something at SS.

Why would I spend the points on Yoda and get charged the CA tax and SS ridiculous shipping on top, when I'll get this off ebay in a few weeks for $180 shipped free, no tax. Even if I pay full retail I'll still save $40 not going thru Sideshow.

That's if you're getting it at all--seems like you might be on the fence. If you're definitely getting it than yeah, use up them points. It's waitlisted at the moment--though I guess we're all assuming that'll disappear in a couple weeks and go to Buy Now.

If this can go down to $230, I'd buy it. It's not an issue of interest, I just don't believe it's $270 good. Now if I get a $20 off code and free shipping (or double reward points), I would probably bite. But when I look at my collection and think about what I've paid for my favorite dolls, it makes it even harder to justify this. But I do want it. I think it turned out well based on what I've seen so far.

Every other Star Wars figure has dropped substantially in price other than the Stormtrooper two-pack. Unless of course HT has severely cut its edition size, which may have happened. This is the first figure under the new sizing.

Honestly the Red 5 Luke is looking like a better option in my opinion. Free shipping plus you can get a $25 or $30 code pretty regularly to get the price down. It's still overpriced for what that figure is but I could justify it to myself easier. With this at $270 I just can't see an instance where I'd pick it up. If anything I could get the Red 5 figure and maybe try and buy the parts separately to make this version. Though by the time I'd pick up all the parts I don't know if it would save a lot.

I really like the idea of this figure being the last figure I ever buy from Sideshow. Gives it... gravitas.
