Since I emptied my RP piggy bank last month, I had to cancel my just converted order. The price point is simply outrageous. It's a pity, since I liked the figure very much.

No point getting this if you have the X-wing.

That was the main reason I passed on the X-wing, figuring this was going to come.

I hear ya. But I did get a good deal at the time for the X-Wing Luke so I think I'm fine skipping on this one.

That's hilarious! I've always been hesitant on pre-orders. It usually pays to be patient. Sales, discount codes, and collectors selling in order to get the latest/greatest figure provide better deals. There's always the risk of missing out on a figure, but that has been few and far between.

I think that risk is approaching zero.....

Secondary market is flooded with almost all releases the last few years. Have patience and you can buy any figure for next to retail....

Every other Star Wars figure has dropped substantially in price other than the Stormtrooper two-pack. Unless of course HT has severely cut its edition size, which may have happened. This is the first figure under the new sizing.

Of course there are. And I've suffered missing out a couple times because of hoping for a lower price.

But I was talking about HT, and about the price drop during the window when they initially ship from Sideshow... usually for about 3 months prices drop by $20-$40 (maybe a lot more depending on interest).

Yeah, ebay. I used to get everything direct from Sideshow for years, but prices, tax and shipping soared so now I usually get my figures off ebay... and its always best pickings about 3-6 months after release... that's obviously when the most stock is available so you can always find a good price from someone. If the item is popular, the well dries up and the price goes up. If the item isn't, the price keeps dropping.

Like Mime Joker... I thought I got a bargain in the first few weeks at just under $200 shipped for him... but as it turns out they made too many and 6 months later sellers were blowing him out for $160 and sometimes less. Phasma and a lot of the TFA junk is the same.

How is that unreasonable? It's been done with other figures with lightsabers. At the price they could have put it in (Hot Toys did that and much more for less). Knowing Sideshow that probably would have drove the cost over $300.

Good to hear that the "articlated" "figler" has a good likeness to "Mike Hamill", too bad the paint could be "beder".

Sigh, Sideshow please stop sending this buffoon free "figlers" to review.

Ah. I guess he did mention it a few times but I think it was mostly to emphasize that for the cost it would have been a nice feature.

I do think the figure looks pretty decent aside from the non helmeted sculpt seeing it more but I still can't justify it at the $270 price point. I am considering Red 5 Luke since it has free shipping and gets discounts once in a while.
