Asked already but my question got lost in the last few posts featuring Luke's pics. Anyone able to confirm a HT body (ie Tatooïne Luke) would work as a replacement for that Sideshow body? Especially concerned Sideshow's wrist/ankle/neck pegs wouldn't fit properly on that new body.

Agree 100% with what you're really saying here. Sideshow body... I'M NOT ACCEPT.

Except for a height issue, there's really nothing wrong with the body under all those clothes. As he is, he looks properly proportioned. I won't change the body as I won't have him standing with anybody anyway.

Overall I have no complaints about this figure. Boots and gloves may be a little dark, but it's not bothersome to me. Love the jacket and suit. The helmet could be more accurately weathered, and I may do that eventually, but there's nothing distractingly off about it. The head sculpt looks great with the helmet on. I'm satisfied with it, especially with the Ex glove holding hand, which keeps it from being strictly Hoth. I passed on Red Five, so this is my definite X-Wing Luke.

Speaking of holsters, that is one thing I actually do have a gripe about. It should be the same as the Bespin rig and have a thigh strap, but this figure does not have the leg strap on the holster.

This was discussed earlier. Apparently in the AT-AT scene he didn't have the strap because of the rigging needed to pull him up.

Lame he doesn't have the grapple gun and grenade to go with the "scene specific" belt.

Thanks for posting pictures everyone that posted so far! I think the proportions look right as well. It's possible that if it's swapped to a smaller body the gloved hands may look even bigger. Looking forward to getting mine, probably Friday.

Where's Talibane btw? I realized he hasn't posted in maybe a couple weeks.

The only problem with that explanation is that he doesn't have the holster on at all during the Hoth Battle. Any other scene in this outfit with the holster on, it has the strap.

Do you have a link to where you got it? I like that it's small.

it is.

i love wrongderek's stand. i also love his answers.

wrongderek, do you know the name of those stands? i also want them but i need to know what they are called.

I looked them up. They're called "Y" stands:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-6-Action-Figure-Base-Display-Stand-Y-Type-For-12-Dragon-Hot-Toys-Sideshow-/152049802091?hash=item2366dfdb6b:g:ut0AAOSwFnFV8PVq

I had never seen those before either, but they seem like a nice discreet small footprint option.

Y stands have been around forever, you can buy them from most 1/6 retailers, I know I saw some at Timewalker's store.
They're metal and have a screw that attaches the post at the base. The smaller footprint means that they can still cause figures to topple over but they add a little more stability than going without a stand. They're not very useful with more than one leg off the ground poses like running or kicking. There's also smaller metal gabbing stands that attach to one leg, these have the same results as the Y stands, some stability but still can allow a figure to fall over.

The only thing pulling down the likeness in that helmeted sculpt I think are the simplistically painted eyes. Which are also looking a bit too dark for Hamill.

I'd love to see what that head would look like after one of your amazing repaints.

So after weeks of going back and forth about this figure I've finally pulled the trigger after seeing a few reviews. So now I'm on the wait list. Anyone have any ideas how long it will take to convert???

Amazing what a few really well taken photos can do. Turns the figure from a 7/10 to 8.5/10 easily. Great pics 👍

I think it's generally assumed that wait listing this item was a ploy to generate interest (ie fear) and therefore sales so I doubt you'll wait too long.

I plan on weathering the flight suit and flack jacket a bit more. I think that will make this figure really pop on the shelf!
