They aren't both legacy; that might explain why :monkey3

This is VERY true, but I would think they would talk to each other in regards to the overall design of each statue because it's obvious that lots of Thor fans will be buying them both. (me for instance :wink1: ) Like I said it's def not a deal breaker for me cause the sculpts on both are SICK and Thor is my favorite character from the comics, however just like the bases themselves go together in regards to matching grounds I would have assumed Legacy wouldn't have put a nameplate on their sculpt without consulting with Thors design. In the end it's simply a nit picking item I'm pointing out. For me these two are amazing in SSCs pictures which means in person it'll be that more rocking!

This will be my first legacy piece so I hope the light up feature comes out as cool as it looks like it will

So jye you getting him? :emperor

Both look incredible!

I'll be happy with my HT Thor for now.

The Destroyer, too high of a price, for me anyways.

I will have to wait for the HT version, which hopefully should be half the price!

But congrats to the lucky folks who end up with these 2 marvelous pieces! :hi5:

If the maquette is supposed to be screen accurate to the movie, then I'm trying to figure out why the light-up feature seems to be so significantly different. :dunno

Thanks Barb. Press area of the site doesn't have them in there yet.

Woodsy I'd say that they open wider as he needs them.

Both are great sculpts, but I don't think they were planned to actually go together, as both characters seem to be facing left, unless you don't mind Thor's back if he's to face Destroyer. And I preferred the Destroyer's feet planted firmly on the ground, rather than one leg up, which makes him feel more powerful, solid, deadly. Still great works.

Because that face opens up wider in the film like on your picture but he has eyes just like SSC have him.

If you watch the trailer at about 1:50 you'll see how the 'eyes' open up. Destroyer looks to be about 2-2.5 times Thor's height?

I agree in this regard. It doesn't so much bother me that the eyes aren't as wide open as the movie comparision you mentioned simply because the current pose gives off IMO a stern initial I'm about to F you up look. I mean there is no doubt this is destroyer in all his awesomeness.

From the trailer above I froze the video right as destroyer was lighting up:

They partially revealed, full revealed and will be taking preorders from them both on the same respective days so I can't imagine they don't expect them to both go together. That said it's a good point that the angle at which they are facing would mean if you paired the two in front of each other you'd basically be missing the details on one or potentially both of these statues...that said I think this one will shine bright on a moving base that spins and allows you to put Thor in front of Destroyer and then at any given point in time switch the viewing pespective.

Hi!

Saw the pics and my quick take on it is this:

I love Destroyer Maquette......At $500 it is a bit expensive but I think it will go much higher than that in the future...

I did not like Thor.......great likeness, lousy pose and terrible base.....They could have done better.......

Still a great looking piece but if I'm getting anything, it will be Destroyer only....

Thor is not as expensive as I thopught it would be at $324.99. Destroyer, however, is just as accurate as I assumed at $499.99, which is between 400-600 of my original estimate.

I have to admit after watching that awesome trailer Destroyer is a very cool customer....I may have to rethink purchasing him after all. :lol

That's the 1/2 scale, brother. This is more like 1/4 scale or smaller even. I will be getting both! I LOVE THEM!!! :rock

Hi-res pics coming after upload...

Destroyer

If the "original" Destroyer pic post is 1/2 scale, wouldn't he tower over IM maquette? Just wondering.
