At the very least Sideshow could offer some new headsculpts for some of the older figures, like Qui-Gon, Mace, Anakin, Ep VI Luke, and Bespin Han (not to mention most of the LotR line). That would at least let folks bash their own. Not sure why Headplay or some other small run shop didn't try to fill that niche. And it's too difficult for customizers.

better head, robe, belt, boots, new hands, plus their effort to cater to all
collectors by including BOTH light up and non-light up sabers.

I just really hope they are able to maintain that paint quality on the proto.

The question for me is if the lightsaber will light-up all the way. I know first-hand with their PFs that the lightsabers go about halfway and then fade out. Or go top and bottom and fade in the middle.

I'm sticking with my PO for now.

That older SSC Ep3 Ewan, looks more like Anthony Hopkins (circa 1980) to me.

Yes that sculpt does look like John DeLancie...

...but I think that we should really still be asking "Who you gonna call?"

Just realized, it's been a while since we last had a non-clone human sculpt from SSC's 1/6 line

I'm hoping the higher price means better quality this time.
That EP2 obi looked perfect in proto pics, but was messed up in production.

SW isn't a staple line in my collection. So yes I meant this isn't going into my collection with the "$150+ unfortunate" comment. As far as the slave comment...you've mostlikely spent more this year than I. I have nothing in pre-order. No slave here.

Then you don't have the Mechanical Darth Maul PF do you? They have upgrade the light up sabers from the older PF's.

Obi vs Maul is simply the best fight scene in the Saga.
Choreography and execution are top notch

I can't wait to get started on my dio. I'm making the wall behind them with the 3 horizontal slits, and the part they are stood on, and the start of the shaft, which will be folded down over the end of the shelf. All punched and folded out of 1mm steel (i'm a sheet metal worker) I'm going to have it in my besta, so i'm going to place a half shelf in there a few inches above another shelf and have it suspended. I'm also going to use led's and have the 3 slits in the wall behind them and the rectangluar shaped slits in the shaft lit up. I'm also hoping to have some light up Episode 1 sign betweeen the botom of the dio and the shelf underneath.

Big plans! But will be fairly straight forward! If where I work can make parts for Aston Martin I can do this

It would be perfect if medi Maul's saber lights up the same as Obi's.

Wow! Seems to be a lot of work.
Update us on that once you're done. Though, I'm always against putting flashy text on dioramas.
You might want to just place a not so noticeable Star Wars logo somewhere.

As for maul, I'm passing for now, I'm gonna wait for HT's attempt on it.

Nah, not to much, sounds more complicated than it is! The only problem is it may not be curved...
