I dig these so far.

I would love to see him make a Cop Land figure.

Stallone should have been perhaps a little less greedy and maybe gone to Blitzway or Asmus and partnered with them on this line.
That would have been great, Stallone and Asmus announce the 1/6 scale Stallone figure line.
Instead, it will be $400 figures with 2006 quality.

Still probably cheaper than HT M65 Rambo on eBay.

Well, the crappy ebay Rambo 4 is $250 on the Sly Shop. The Threezero Rambo 3 is also $250. Two very different figures with a huge gap in quality between them and both cost the same on his site.

As for Cobra and FB, I say both figures will cot the same even though Cobra will come with a lot more accessories. I still say $300 each highest prediction. Lowest, $250 like the other figures.

I'd pay $300 if the final product looks like the prototype. The Asmus Gandalf is like $350 because it comes with rooted hair. If these figures can retain some kind of "custom" high level quality to them, I'd say $250 -$300 is not crazy, considering your only other option is waiting for HT to stop making Marvel figures or an overpriced custom figure that will cost you $1000. :lol

I just hope the final product doesn't look like a Sideshow Collectibles figure.

This video is giving hope. The figure was made by the same team and it came out faithful to the prototype. Retails for about $290.

We definitely need to shed some Daylight on the price situation.

Stop it, a dev!!

Or my mom will shoot

But that?s the antique price?if a figure of the same quality as the M65 were released today they would not be able to charge anything close to that for it.

Since he?s going after memorabilia collectors and not toy fans, I would not be surprised if you?re looking at something more along the lines of $400 - $450.
Once again, he probably doesn?t know much about this industry so he?s literally going to be putting a price on his own estimate of his personal worth.
Anyone here think he?s going to put a conservative, low end value on the Sylvester Stallone brand and what it?s worth to his fans?
The hyperbole alone should be enough of a clue of where the pricing will land.

I doubt Sly is even involved with the project to be honest. He's got people that run the Sly shop probably. Then again, he is familiar with collectibles, he's got them all in his office. He just got a brand new statue from Rambo Last Blood on instagram. He knows about HT and their figures of him because HT posted the photos years ago when he was looking at the Rocky and Expendable figures. He seemed to be into them and he's always had an eye for art and crafts, so I could see him appreciating the details. Having said all that, who knows how this whole 1/6 line started? Maybe it was his idea or someone else's idea and Sly is just going along with it as long as he gets his share.

As for the price, they could be $400, but the reason I don't think they'll be THAT much is because of the other stuff he sells on the website and the prices. For example, the new replica "Heartstopper" knife from Last Blood retails for $170 and he sells it for $195. The threezero Rambo retails for about $200 in most websites, and he sells it for $250. I can't see them asking $400 for these figures, not unless they're limited edition, numbered and a small run.

Theres no reason to be Driven to tears over the potential price. Have an Escape Plan for funds to be ready at time of order.

I think this is less about greed and more about control. Stallone still makes millions per movie. Comparatively speaking, he isn’t going to make a ton of $ off of these even if they sell for $300+. Releasing these under his own label gives him control over the process as opposed to licensing out his likeness. For example, while Blitzway might be able to nail the likeness and tailoring, it takes them forever to release figures. ThreeZero and Asmus can be hit and miss and have other licenses to contend with. My guess is after he saw the KP Rocky figures as compared to what HT and TZ had done he decided that he could do these himself by utilizing their supply chain and workflow. Conceivably, (on paper at least) this would allow him to deliver higher quality figures to fans and collectors faster, while taking in some extra revenue for his shop in the process. While I’m sure these won’t “redefine” 1/6 figures, I do think they will be great quality. Just hoping a line of Rocky figures come next.

Also I wouldn’t panic about the price right now. I’m guessing these will max out at $300, and more likely in the $250 range. However, there might be something like an autographed and numbered “premium” version that goes for $50-$100 more (that’s me wearing my marketing hat). As a collector, I’d pay a premium for Rambo, but not Cobra.

Anyone would have an interest in a figure of themselves but generally for reasons of pure vanity. I'm sure Stallone has zero interest in dolls -- except where they represent himself in his roles and where he can place them in his office like one would a poster. Its more likely someone in his office proposed the whole doll thing based off his most famous characters as a way to make money. Its all about making money and, more importantly, keeping your brand alive and well out in the world in whatever ways you can. Stallone is always about keeping his name alive. Hell, the guy couldn't get financing for his final Rambo and had to reach to the lowest depths of lenders out there to complete his movie, so of course he jumps at things like playing a bit part in the MCU to remain relevant. And now apparently he's isn't opposed to making dolls of himself where the profits are miniscule compared to his lifestyle requirements I'm sure. But you got to collect the cash where you can, and in this case for Stallone himself its likely more about branding than it is about the actual financial rewards.

Even a price gouge on this figure at $400 wouldn't generate a huge amount of money for Stallone. But I'm sure he likes the idea of having his likeness on people's desks as a collector item.

Other than Rocky, Rambo and Marion... what are some of Stallone's popular other characters that have great display outfits?

Demolition Man... but is that considered a great Stallone movie? Frigid Cliffhanger? Kind of the same. Most of the other characters I remember seem to just wear suits of one kind of another. Honestly, even Cobra is a bit of a reach but it does have a memorable outfit for whatever reason.

What would be an ideal line-up of Stallone figures? And how many?

I?ve always had a place in my heart for Tango & Cash.
Maybe he could get Kurt Russell to sign over his likeness and release a two pack?
