I'm leaning toward the separate eyeglasses, too... If sculpted glasses could be made to look as good, then I'd be okay with that idea, I suppose. Whatever works best.

The way I was thinking about doing it would actually result in a better looking more naturalresult than separate glasses if I can pull it off. But it would be more work for me. It would involve paper thin webbing that would need to be removed on each one. This is how I achieved the gap between the curl of hair and face on the stern Joker. I would also likely use a much more expensive platinum based silicone like Dragon Skin form Smooth-on. Very strong and very stretchy to get behind the glasses in the lens area.
The only downside is the lack of clear lenses, they will just be open. Casting clear lenses to put in place would increase cost.
Sounds good to me, if you believe you can pull it off. Instead of cast lenses, though, do you think it would be possible to scribe a narrow bezel around the insides of each lens frame (on the side that won't show) so that clear lenses could be cut out of acetate film, for example, and glued into the frames from behind? I'm thinking like the way that clear windows are often fitted inside plastic model kits.
That might be an easier way for people to add lenses themselves if they want, and hopefully save time and added expense. Just a thought.

That's a good idea. I was thinking the thickness of cast lenses would look good, but this would be a more practical and economical option. I can try this on my Commissioner Gordon head, too.
I'd hate to have to charge something like $15.00 just for cast lenses. Seems a waste. Plus I hate casting clear resin. Haven't done it in a few years, but it used to be a pain getting perfect clear casts.
