First impressions of this guy = fantastic!! Awesome quality clothing and the headsculpt is great in person, like others have said. Harry should be here Tuesday. I can't freaking wait for Hermione.

Great! Yeah they are easily pretty close. The clothing and all that is amazing, the only thing with the headsculpt that knocks it back some is the eyes. They aren't as realistic as Hot Toys yet, but it's still very good. In person under LED lighting in the detolf is great.
It's hard to say from the pics, until we see production pics, if the Hermione has gloss eyes like HT. It sure looks like it does to make it so realistic looking in the pics.

Finally got Ron today!!!
He is great, personally for me he may just be at Hot Toys quality and at the very least Star Ace clothing and sculpts exceed or match SSC. As soon as I opened him up the sculpt was incredible. I was a little concerned as from some pictures I have seen, it just never really looked spot on, it looked a little cartoony. But man... I really hate saying this because there are so many great figure photographers out there, but pictures do not do Ron justice at all. The sculpt is spot on. I am really looking forward to getting Harry just to see how much better the sculpt will be in hand.
The clothing is high quality. I think if you blind folded someone and have them feel both of Ron's sweaters and a real sweater, they would not be able to tell the difference. The robe is great as well. You can almost like fluff it out as if the wind was blowing it back. I am not sure what material the griffindor patch is, it feels almost embossed. It certainty isn't an iron on, looks great though.
The stand, initially, I was upset with. There were little burs on the plastic stand that would wrap around Ron, it would easily snag the sweater and possibly the pants, so just for anyone who does not have him, be very careful. The burs are on each end and the back of the part that wraps around Ron. I just took some clear gorilla tape and put that over the burs to prevent snagging, it works pretty good and is a quick easy fix.
Now for the accessories. Usually I just box them up, but not these. The chess set is great. The detail on the individual pieces are quite amazing, something that could have been skipped over, but nope, Star Ace knocked it out of the park. My only complaint with the Chessboard is that it is some sort of plastic. I would have preferred this be wood with just some graphic/sticker applied on top of the wood, but oh well, I still like it. Scabbers is great, can easily stand on Ron's shoulder or in his hand. The wand is nice. I really like the little chicken legs, you can see where Ron already took a bite out of them, never noticed that before.
The body is surprisingly great. Very tight joints. He stands good on his own. Can achieve some dynamic poses without falling. Better body than the SSC 1/6th Batman. Very impressed.

New here, but just wanted to get my feet wet and say I just bit the bullet and bought Ron last week, he arrived Saturday and now I have Harry and Sirius on the way as well.
