Though there was already talk this would be the last Trek movie for the foreseeable future, so this might be another reason to take a break.

I don't think his death will help the movie do better because he's not the lead character.

It worked for Ledger (TDK) and Aaliyah (Queen of the Damned) because they were basically front and center in those films.

Any conspiracy theories that any of these actors/celebrities were killed by Hollywood so their movies would perform better are ludicrous IMO

I really enjoyed Anton's portrayal of Chekov and liked him in general as an actor. Terrible, freak accident way to die too. Sucks all around.
