ON one hand I understand all the hate, it is dumb to do that.
But as an old school gamer, look at some of the requirements to get a ribbon in old Battlefield 2.
Before the nerf, which took like a year, you needed like 1000 hours of flying a chopper or driving a tank to get the highest ribbon.
example (just from website, so I assume it is current / updated requirements)
War College Ribbon
 100 hours command time
 200 wins
 25,000 command points
If the game is good enough, I can see easily spending the time to unlock them.
Would this be as big of an issues if you had ZERO other way to get them? As in no paying for enough boxes.
I understand people want Vader and Luke ASAP.
I understand how people are looking at EA doing it to the most iconic characters...
...but...I didnt instantly have access to my highest level ability in Assassin Origins. I got nearly 40 hours into that (level 38 now).
I had to grind...or play the game a lot. To which I played the game and it never felt like a grind.
