I wonder if they really would change it drastically, they've done some things already--the push to add the singleplayer originally, then changing some of the things that could be gotten in loot boxes, and then dropping the price of some things. But ultimately, the only thing that would fix it is to make it so that you either can't pay to get loot boxes or the items are not things that upgrade your characters.

They won't

Great review.

I’m enjoying the game lots of fun even with problems.

I’m not going to buy credits i’ll just play with what I have.

Yes I have been killed by people with maxed out abilities who obviously spent the extra $100 + dollars required to have those power levels.

Oh well EA is still not going to get extra money from me just because some players paid to easily frag me.

I’m having fun even while being fragged that’s the whole point for me i’m not trying to win a gold medal in BF2 so if people want to pay to win it’s their money they can do what they want with it.

Wow so a complete overhaul lol

What a bunch of greedy dummy a holes I swear.

How about just respecting the customers from the very start.

You know what happens when your business foundation model is built with a focus on customer respect, those very same customers will gladly open up their wallets for fair game purchases that’s what.

How embarrassing for DICE. My favorite developers lost to the darkside.

I’m sure DISNEY with TLJ only 4 weeks away is on the phone right now with EA CEO and board of directors right saying FIX THIS PUBLIC RELATIONS MESS ASAP!

I just saw a TV spot for this game holy crap I need it now, lol. Right after I buy a PS4 of course!

Don't do it Khev. Think beyond the immediate and at least wait until they implement changes, which will come because EA are just getting smashed by this at the moment.

Please watch this and the previous YouTube videos I posted links to as they can articulate the issues far better than I.

Worth a buy -

Well shoot. I thought I'd read that they'd done away with the Pay to Win nonsense.

Lol it is absolutely NOT gambling that’s just dumb.

Gambling means you spend money and 99.9% of the time you get NOTHING in return! Actually the reality is that you really get NOTHING in return 100% of the time!

With Pay to Win you are making a simple purchase with an actual product in return 100% of the time!

It might be dumb on your part to make that purchase but at the end of the day you are still getting product in return for your money 100% of the time.

Labeling it gambling is really desperate on your end to prove your point right and it clearly shows a lack of understanding of what gambling really is.

I don’t get it why can’t people spend their money how they want why does it bother you so much.

Nobody has a gun to their head to pay to win.

Yeah EA is being greedy and I don’t like the system myself but at the end of the day they still sold me a base product that was worth $60-$80 especially with the free DLC map packs coming in the future.

How about offering rational reasons why the system is bad instead of desperate irrational forced ones like gambling.

Seriously who is putting a gun to your head to Pay to Win tell me.

You're wrong. It is gambling and that is why they're being investigated in more than 1 country.

It's a complicated argument, much too complicated to explain here but I've posted a few links to videos which you can follow down the rabbit hole. Don't be naive and go and educate yourself.

Here's a quote I find interesting

"In order for a game to be legally considered gambling, three elements must be involved: consideration, prize, and chance. Money that a person pays to participate in a game is the consideration. The game’s rewards are the prize. And chance is any random element that can effect winning. So, if you’ve got a game of chance (like rolling dice) that’s pay-to-play and has a prize—like street craps—it’s gambling because it has all three of the necessary elements."

Is it like going to a casino? No of course not but, hypothetically, would you like your son blow his allowance on them?
