Someone should spear head individual lanyard tags for the site, they do them over at Rebelscum for big cons like this, it'd be neat to see all the FREAKS with them.

I've thought about this before. I'm also a member of Rebelscum but I've yet to go to a major convention, so I don't have one. Celebration V will be my first major convention. I went to MegaCon in Orlando earlier this year, but I wouldn't call that "major."

OH SNAP!!! I'm gonna start working on my costume!!! I know...lame....but i can't resist!! IT'S CELEBRATION V B1TCHES!

Jeeez, Orlando huh? That's too close for me not to go. And it'll be the 30th Anniversary of Empire. Shoot. I'm in. One way or another... :devil

Sideshow Collectibles should totally get a booth there!! *HINT*
And Sideshow Freaks should totally throw a special edition Celebration V Freaks Party! *DOUBLE HINT*

They have been at every one since Celebration III, they'll be there.

That's awesome that Sideshow has a booth at these. Gives me even more incentive to go...

I was at Celebration III, but didn't know about Sideshow at the time. Now I'll be excited to see them there at Celebration V!:banana

Yeah it was cool to see them there, I remember crapping my pants over the Vader PF at SDCC one year and my jaw hit the floor when they premiered the Grievous PF at CIII. They had arrived. And of course seeing the PF Biker Scout at C:IV was cool too. They always bring it.

I'm already planning to make a stop at Universal while we are there. Love that Simpsons ride and I wanna see what the hype is with the new Potter section.

Sorry to disappoint you both, but we were actually fairly well hydrated. I think we went through two bottled waters each that morning. When the local paramedic came, he told us we picked the "worst time of year to visit FL" and he mentioned he had seen numerous people faint or worse just that morning alone (not limited to tourists). He hoped we wouldn't formulate our opinions of the state based on the notoriously bad August weather. We have no problems with Florida as a whole, so this seemingly "state pride" attack on me from you locals is a bit ridiculous.

Umm hate to burst the bubble, but two bottles of water is NOT properly hydrating yourself if you're not used to hot, humid weather. You should've been drinking a glass of water every 20-30 minutes. Did the EMT mention that all of those people that fainted were probably tourists like yourself?? I bet they weren't drinking enough water either.

Regardless, I guess we won't have to worry about you attending the event. No sweat off my back.

~~ I ended up booking a room at the Red Roof Inn across the street!!! Party On!!!

That reminds me, I still need to get hotels for: Megacon, Comic-Con and Stars Wars Celeb V. :( And hotels keep raising the prices so I have to get them all soon.

I wasn't going to get a hotel until my GF mentioned that I probably wouldn't want to drive 30 minutes back and forth each day. I think Red Roof Inn was $90 a night IIRC. I can always cancel up until the day before without penalties if something should happen.

I'm waiting to see how much flights are going to be before committing either way. Southwest publishes their flights for August this month and I'm trying to decide to do Orlando before CV or after...
