Had a hell of a time. The first person I met was Anthony Daniels. He really set the stage for the whole show. He bust outed a little 3PO by saying, "Such a desolate place this is...." as he signed a pic of him on Tatooine. Seeing him and hearing his voice caused a tidal wave of nostalgia and emotion wave over me. I was almost teary eyed as I left his booth.

Other highlights were talking excitedly about how cool Duel of the Fates was with Ray Park, hearing war stories from various OT stuntmen, running into Dave Filoni in the lobby and Ben Burtt(!) and Matthew Wood outside on my way back to the shuttle, and trying to get Jeremy Bulloch to sell me his Gentle Giant Jumbo Fett (he considered it...but the bounty hunter held onto his prize!)

I'm crying buckets for missing this but I know they'll be at least one more for ROTJ's Anniversary so come hell or high water I'll be attending that. Make sure to upload a ton of pictures.

Ditto. While I can't say that I'm jealous of all the standing in line that people have had to do, I'm pretty sad that I couldn't make it there. But I keep telling myself that I probably wouldn't be able to go to this one and the next one, and I'd rather go to one with a lot of ROTJ-themed stuff (i.e. Jabba stuff).

Speaking of which, Jabba the Hutt on Facebook recently said that there were actually two life size Jabbas on the floor, in addition to "Jabba's Food Court." Any pictures of the Jabbas?

And has anyone seen any interesting Jabba-related merch? Shropt has apparently found me a Grape Hutts cereal box, and I have people getting me the Spencer Brinkerhoff print and the Jabba "scruffie" plush. Is there anything I've missed?

There were indeed two Jabbas, one behind a big cantina setup, and another one that was always crawling with girls dressed as Slave Leia. For whatever reason I didn't take a picture of either, but here's a shot from rebelscum of the cantina Jabba being set up:

The one with the Leias definitely had a better likeness. You can bet that a million pictures of that one will pop up on the web before long.

Are people meeting tonite to get in line for the Stewart passes? I was going to drive up from Tampa around 11 PM to get in line, but only if I have a shot at seeing the interview--since the bands are first come, first serve. If not then I'll just leave tomorrow morning.

looks like a hell of a good time!

Oh yeah it was. Burtt and Wood were in a great mood when I ran into them outside and almost immediately we were all giggling like idiots. I told Wood that I got a kick out of his Grievous and Battle Droid voices and Burtt couldn't help but say, "Roger roger" in response. :lol

I then asked Burtt if I could shake the hand of an Academy Award winner and he said sure (I should have said 4 time AA winner but hey my mind was going a million miles a minute at that point) and when we shoke hands he said "BZZZZZ!" as if I had a gag buzzer. They were obviously giddy and enjoying the whole proceedings and it was great to be a part of it.

I'll never watch the movies the same way again after my encounters with the cast and crew.

I recommend to anyone attending to wait until just before they close at 7:00 to take one last trip through the autograph hall. It was almost totally dead and that's when I got a free picture with Mayhew (he was just sitting at a table by himself), and got to hear some great war stories from Frank Henson (the Biker Scout who got thrown into a tree by Luke) and Dickey Beer (Boba Fett stuntman that got his gun destroyed by Luke and who was then later swallowed by the Sarlacc). Of course I'd seen "making of" footage of them doing those scenes a gazillion times but nothing beats hearing from them what it was like to be doing it.

Ur not gonna be able to get in....people been lining up since maybe 8pm. Last night.

Celebration has been a blast minus the lines and the small size of the covention floor. But awesome regardless!!!

Fury is a wild one.:lol

I didn't camp out or get up early, but I am in one of the satellite rooms waiting to see the Main Event broadcast. Good enough for me.

If anyone is interested in Force Unleashed 2 and is at Celebration V, I can probably hook you up with access to an event they are having there today for the game. You need a pass, so LMK.
