That's true. But together with Chewie, they where also the only ones sitting at that chess table, so, it's not a big surprise they are on the PPO add, is it?

It was reported in another thread this is going to be $40 according to SW Insider. Personally, I think that is ridiculous for an expansion pack. I won't be getting it at that price. Weren't the probe droids $25?

If our future holds $60+ figures and $40 expansion packs and no armored figures, you can bet I won't be buying any more.

I would expect $40 for this one. Look at the detail and scale of the chess pieces. They're incredible! As far as the probes, I passed. I'm glad too after reading the posts and finding out how light they are. Thought there might be a little bit of metal or something heavy used for them. But hey, they gotta hang on those poles.
I will continue to purchase only the $60 figures I want to add to my collection.
I will also gladly plunk down the $40 for the chess set if it indeed means the Droids are on their way!

I can perfectly understand that. I hope SSC doesn't become greedy, raising the prices of their SW 12" figures. I think they are expensive enough as it is.

Well, for the quality we get I must say the price is right... on ebay well done custom Star Wars figures, pretty same quality of the Sideshow ones goes for insane prices so I'm happy with the price of Sideshow 12" figures, and of course I am willing to pay more for hard to make characters like Chewie and armored characters... anyway this is just my opinion.

Same here... at least it's not as expensive as Medicom...

In all truth, I don't mind. You get what you pay for and in this instance it's far worth it. SSC brings us the most bang for our buck and I can't be upset. We WILL have armored characters eventually... so do not worry.

And as far as expansion packs go... why be upset about it? No company has even attempted to do these things, give us 1:6th scale Dejarik boards and Jabba's Palace extras..... Pretty cool in my book... but that's just my opinion.

Totally agree DA! These are some cool-ass accessories I never would have thought to see made. $40 is a chunk of change, but I think its worth it to me. But I did also pass on the probe droids... at any price I really couldn't be excited about them.

So in the newsletter it says it's made of polystone and metal, and the exclusive is the raised arms figure.

Seems pretty worth the $40 now.

Made out of metal and polystone! $40 isn't so bad now. The exclusive is extended arms for the creature to do the bodyslam move.

I agree. I thought it was over priced at first because it was made out of plastic. That seems like a better value for metal and polystone. Plus the exclusive is pretty cool! I will probably pre-order in the hopes that Sideshow will offer something for it to go with. If not, then I will end up cancelling.
