i wonder if anyone sneaks in and watches porn on his screen...

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

.
Well there's an arbitrary statement if I ever saw one. So actors speaking negatively about a movie only "counts" if they once liked it and then changed their mind? Either an actor's opinion matters or it doesn't.

That’s sort of my point, who care what an actor thinks of a film either way? Ford likes it / hates it has no effect on OT, if Hamill likes it/hates it should have no bearing on if people like or hate ST....

sue him?
SUE HIM?

bro... disney has enough power to END him.... i remember when he was first hating on TLJ that a lot of people freaked out for his safety... a lot of people were like "hamill, dude, we like you please stop talking for your safety"

Disney is not the Mafia....

The argument about “the Bombs” just underscore my point that people want to hate this.....and look for stupid reasons to support their dislike. This kinda crap has been happening since OT (Space Slug????) but OT purists happily find a reason to explain it all.... but they won’t even attempt to with ST. Hate the film cause you do not like the story/acting/production....(like AOTC) but nitpicking physics as a reason is pretty weak.

Back to the film discussion. I did notice a continuity error I think which may point to a plot change. After Luke’s Force projection, he is seen struggling to get back on the rock....clawing his way up....but the very next shot he is laying on top of the rock , struggling to get up...

It’s like they filmed it once where he fell off the rock....but didn’t use that for some reason...

I remember doin' that with a Playboy compilation video that was recorded at the end of "The Bodyguard" pirate VHS.

Hah, for me it was the secret porn that was at the end of our recorded-off-the-TV copies of Speed and Bad Boys. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I just bought an evangelical tape that i know everyone would avoid and taped over that.

Friday night, cinemax soft core stuff

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Aah the good old days. Nothing like vhs porn either rented or recorded. Kids nowadays don't know how easy they have it.

As per the article of 3 signing bonuses for Solo films, another rumor has surfaced from Disney looking for 40-50 year old female actor under code name "Mara". Prepare for the Emperor's Hand to one be misused for nearly 2 ST films, never be married to Luke Skywalker or have the real "BEN" Skywalker son and probably be a Kathleen Kennedy shat down our throats with Mara Jade as a lesbian with a purple lightsaber. If Star Wars does not die after this shat show, then I hope someone has enough money to try to buy out disney and release the SW license... This is getting pathetic...

So is making a Science Fiction film and leaving out some SCIENCE...

A lot of things have been made advertently in Star Wars pseudo science, propulsion of aerodynamics in spaceships, blasters, lightsabers... BUT we had cross sections and Lucasfilm who filled the gaps explaining the science behind the tech as best they could. However that being said, Star Wars did not bend the rules on gravity nor a planets Mesosphere, Stratosphere or Troposphere as per ROTS's Invisible Hand falling rapidly from orbit and burning up like a meteorite.

There is a certain gratuitous aspect when you start making **** up in a well known and beloved universe that already establishes itself. A "Space Slug" is a far cry from laws of gravity in space... Even Dave Filloni made newer creatures in space in TCW, but that was because the Space Slug established life could exist without oxygen. But NOT humans or humanoids are per Han Solo and the rest in ESB wearing oxygen masks inside the Space Slug stomach.

So "dropping bombs" is not a nitpick, it's a damn insult of the franchise because their's no proulsion in those bombs AT ALL.. The ship could have gravity matrix as per all ships, but once those bombs descend past the ray shield, they should be floating making them easy targets with their own bombs underneath their ship...

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

In zero gravity the bombs would keep going the direction they were already heading until they hit something.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

This is the explanation given in the Incredible Cross-Sections for The Last Jedi:

The modular bombing magazine, called the "clip" by the bomber's crew, would drop the bombs through sequenced electromagnetic plates in the clip, which propelled the bombs to "drop" in microgravity environments. The bombs would then be drawn magnetically to their targets.

Works for me ... or just as well as anything else explained in these books.

Cant argue with you here.. If people are complaining about this they are looking for a reason to complain.. IMO there is plenty to complain about with this film that one does not have to fall back on the "science" of Star Wars.

SW has never taken its science seriously.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I don't understand how anyone would think those bombs wouldn't "fall" on the ship when dropped. Are these the "world is flat" people?
