I really want to see how JJ fixes this. Can it be done?

I think I'm the only one in the world that's actually excited to see how they wrap this up

So lonely :lurking

I can't believe you came to your senses on TLJ. You and Jye were 2 of it's biggest supporters and defenders last year... I guess the SW hynopsis wore off??

:lol

The only way this can be fixed is if they start the movie with Finn waking up again and we find out TLJ was just a knightmare he had as he describes the events of his terrible & frightening dream to Poe. :monkey3

Then I'd be on board with EPIX.. :yess: Which, I guess, would really be EPVIII.V

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I can stand TLJ only if I watch the Luke scenes and ignore that low speed chase through space and Canto Bight stuff.

Once you're in the theater, you'll see that you're far from alone. And when the box office numbers start coming in, you'll be wondering where in the world all of those ticket sales are coming from when "everyone" had been insisting that SW is dead, and that "no one" cares about these new movies.

The MCU is the standard bearer for audience enthusiasm right now. That enthusiasm is measured in money/box office. Yet, after End Game passes $1 billion (easily) there will be a total of 8 MCU movies (out of 22) that will have raked in $1 billion or more worldwide. Compare that to new SW if Episode IX makes $1 billion: 4 out of 5 Disney Wars movies will have passed that threshold.

If we limit the discussion to domestic audience, the MCU and Disney Wars have exactly the same number of films (for now) that have made $500 million or more: three! I wish I was running a business with such lackluster enthusiasm as Disney has to deal with for these new Star Wars films. :lol

I think I'm the only person left on the forum that likes TLJ

Nope. You're one of two. :lol I have enjoyed it more with each viewing.

Make no mistake, I’ll watch it sooner or later. But the new films really aren’t for me, and that’s okay.
