I was more of a Sorceress/She-Ra guy, lol. But yeah there was pretty much just them, Lynda Carter on WW and Erin Gray on Buck Rogers.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Said fans in 1980 and 1983....

Huh? Really? :dunno

I need to watch TLJ another dozen times. Then I'll remember correctly.:lol

And um... would be nice for us to be discussing TLJ.... in a TLJ thread. Know whadimean?:wink1:

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

If you think that Johnson's sole influences for TLJ were other SW films then you really need to watch some Kurosawa.

This thread is a huge fan of Rashomon.

Agreed but that one's on you guys, I had no part in it being shut down. ;)

"you guys" - nice try.:lol

I still like Trade Federation and Nemodians. :dunno

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

And years later Seven of Nine continued that tradition...

And then of course there was Jolene Blalock...

I preferred Seven of Nine. Silly Vulcan haircut was off-putting on Blalock.

I loved the figures of the Neimodians. Great sculpts. If I ever sell my old PT collection I'd be tempted to keep those.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I think if you look at it objectively Toys in the realm of action figures are basically passé.

PT toys didn’t sell anywhere near as well as OT....

So it makes sense that ST toys wouldn’t do as well as PT OR OT.

No one buys cowboy and Indian play sets anymore either....how many Wild West action figures are selling now? They were huge in the 50’s but now are gone.....

We are the last of the action figure buying generation I fear.

Little girls rejected Barbie also these days.....there is another segment of the population buying those.

So one day someone's son will be a 50+ year old man with an amazing collection of iPhones?

Right now someone's son is a 50 year old man with 2 Hot Toys dolls and a chip on his shoulder that his third favorite Iron Man is delayed.

We need the dinosaurs to come back.

Still using my old Nokia phone. It tells me what time it is, has a calendar, a calculator and an alarm. If I'm arsed I can text or call people with it. The batteries don't run out in 2 minutes of usage and the screen is still more or less intact.

So you don't use the I-reland app?
