I know I am just explaining stuff to people who really want to hate this....
But
Look at the wreckage from Challanger and Columbia.

There are alway pieces left over in what seems like a massive disintegrating fireball....

Oh why bother....

I don't mind logistics behind how fragments of the DS survived but I expect 'complaints' like that to surface in tenfold after the movie releases. Bugs me that people are already looking for things to hate rather than be open-minded.

Tali....

SPACE WIZARDS.

How much reality do you expect from your space wizards..

Or superhero?s?

Ehm, Captain Marvel finding TS in the vastness of space and personally flying them home?

All the Avengers surviving the damn building falling on them?

Reality is subjective in MCU and DSW....

Like most sci fi fantasy....if you want reality go watch 2001.

If I blur my eyes and don't really think I CAN imagine Palps somehow surviving using those wizard skills.... BUT then they show us unbroken glass in an intact window and a chair that looks like it simply got a little damaged by some movers?:dunno

By all means, have Palps survive (wizard powers,) even show some intact chunks of DSII superstructure despite the most titanic, atomizing explosion in the history of the galaxy, but DON'T show an intact throne room, intact window with unbroken glass and a pretty much undamaged throne.:slap

Wizard powers protected him, but also his office and furniture (when he was far distant from it at the time of the explosion)?

The Challenger wasn't subject to an atomizing explosion the size of a planet - and you could clearly see huge intact chunks of the craft and 100% intact rocket boosters moving away from the explosion.

3PO pretending that he's sentimental about these nobodies he's interacted with for 30 seconds of screen time was perhaps the most laughable thing for me.

I can't imagine being an adult and actually caring one way or another about any of these lifeless, soulless characters.

100% agree.

Yeah sure, like that passport they found of one of the hijackers after the wtc explosion and collapse. They found it in pristine condition, not a scratch or burn on it. Lol.

They should have made the buildings out of passports.

You have a point, but I always thought of the DSII as straight-up vaporization. Clearly not. You can even see fragments entering Endor's atmosphere to destroy the forest moon's fragile ecology...

Well unless it's a dream sequence it's a huge continuity error. That Starbucks cup in Game of Thrones is small potatoes compared to this.

I'm sure this matters to someone, somewhere.

Or maybe just LFL...

I wonder if JJ will end this like he did LOST -- with it all being a dream Rey is having when she suddenly wakes up in the sand wearing that rebel flight helmet at the foot of the fallen walker... some little raider thief trying to pull off her shoe.

He didn’t end Lost, and that’s not how Lost ended. :lol

That would actually be a very satisfying end to all of this.

In the fact that it negates all that has happened? :lol

I wonder what Palpatine is plotting for the future gang of space friends in the next trilogy come 2022?

No apparently Palps is tied up VERY tightly at the end of TROS - he definitely won't escape again.

You can see Rey and Rose are keeping a close eye on him though. Poe is all arrogance, just smirking at Finn and BB-8.
