Sounds like orc mischief.
Well , insinuated Leia and Rey are flying....
I agree the effect was horribly actualized, but she had to have been pulling herself to the ship, as she lacks and sort or propulsion, and no gravity make movement impossible without that.
And why would Rey be flying? Shes clearly (or unclearly) jumping similar to the stupid PT/ video game jumping.

Though that'll probably be solved when shes revealed to be the super duper chosen one, I imagine.
I assumed your "whiney ST complaint" referred to Super Leia. Which I agree was terribly actualized. I didn't say Rey was flying, in fact I said she looked as if she was jumping off something to reach the falcon's ramp. Maybe as it's taking off. So I think we have our wires crossed here.
I don't think Rey has done anything force wise that's out of order outside of being able to do it all super quickly. Though that'll probably be solved when shes revealed to be the super duper chosen one, I imagine.
That's all that most people who call Rey a Mary Sue have a problem with. They left her hardly any room for growth as the films go on by having her kick so much arse right from the start. And it's no small part of the reason why there's so little anticipation for Episode 9 compared to films past.
Yeah, I think Disney showed Rey?s cards too quickly.
My brother and I were actually talking about this the other day while throwing around a baseball. You feel like there?s nothing really nothing daunting at stake going into Episode IX because it?s already been demonstrated that Rey can defeat her main opponent (Kylo). Unlike Luke, who got his *** handed to him by Vader in saber combat and then got hit with the knowledge that he?s his father, and that he must face him again. Seems like a pretty daunting task.
Don?t get me wrong, she has her moments as a character and I like her overall, but I think she was somewhat botched and could have been written better.
Agreed. Going into this the biggest what's gunna happen moments are: how does palpatine tie into this and how is Lando gunna die?
Both things that have little to do with this new cast that we were all supposed to be invested in.
All the new cast are well acted and had interesting origins to start, but it just seems like they've been really let down in the writer's room. Not to mention the same for our OT favorites who in a seemingly impossible (read:really expensive) feat managed to all return for these films.

It was a one shot deal and they completely ****ed the dog.
The Mandalorian is off to a great start, but nothing can ever undo the epic blunder that is the ST.
my personal canon is as follows:
Rogue One
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Return Of The Jedi
The Mandalorian
As I said in a drunk post the other night (which I deleted the next day due to its rambling nature and a few cringey bits ) I do think Daisy Ridley was fine casting, her performances are good and her look/outfits are terrific in all the movies.
I just think they sabotaged her character and good storytelling on the altar of girl power - they thought (insultingly I would say) that the female audience couldn't take seeing the first ever female primary hero in a Star Wars film being anything but powerful and victorious - and that's why they wrote that big fight-back against Kylo Ren and had him at her mercy by the end. They probably added Kylo's bowcaster injury to try to sell it better. This would have been fine in a standalone movie - but not a trilogy where you're trying to get people invested in the journey of this character for two more movies.
How would I have changed the ending? Rey summoning the lightsaber should have been like Cap summoning Mjolnir (sp?) in Endgame - obviously it wouldn't have had all those years of build-up but that's not what I'm getting at - the key point is that even despite that hero moment and a sequence of great strikes upon Thanos, it still wasn't enough and Cap was overcome and beat down once again. Rey's fight with Kylo should have had a similar pattern with ultimately Rey needing, yes, rescue - which could come in the form of the ****ing Millenium Falcon and a barrage of quad-cannon fire forcing Kylo to retreat. This would have preserved Kylo as a credible threat and allowed the next two movies to show Rey getting stronger. Her ultimate victory would be more satisfying when it came - as it was for Luke.
I think this would have significantly improved TFA, albeit not fully salvaging it because I don't like the entire repetitious premise of the FO/Starkiller Base vs the resistance anyway, or Luke being in exile and the problems that caused for TLJ.
So do I but I'd put Solo in there. I thought it was a fine romp one or two small things notwithstanding.
I think if people have an issue with Rey being over powered and the stakes being pretty much non existent....
That puts alot of the blame on JJ and TFA.
Personally, I think they screwed up with the back story more than anything.
ST should have started with Bens fall.
