Imagine if three weeks before EG Feige told interviewers that making movies in the MCU is just so hard because they don't have any source material.

Yeah KK is absolutely tempering expectations with idiotic comments like that.

Like TFA and TLJ the footage in the TROS trailers is really quite beautiful but I'm starting to wonder if we're going to have another JL on our hands where the finished product is an unmitigated disaster that surpasses even our wildest imaginations.
Yeah the trailer is beautiful, but what is the movie about. JJ said that TLJ did not derail any plans for episode IX. Then why does it feel like Palpatine is a Hail Mary pass to connect with fans upset with the way things are right now? If he was always part of the story then why not put a hint of him in the previous 2 movies?

Where profit is concerned, spin, lies and obfuscation are the Corporate Way.

I?m not being a cynic. I?ve signed enough NDAs to know.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - May 24, 2019

Holy crap did KK really just tell Rolling Stone that part of the reason they've had such a hard time writing the ST is because there are no SW novels or comics to look to for inspiration?? :slap
Already trying to make silly excuses in preparation for when she gets eased out the door.

Been thinking about the ending....

So lets play a game....

Whats the resolution going to be....be funny or serious....more interested in the serious attempts.

I consume alot of SW media, keeping in mind all the stuff I have seen from Rebels to the novels, and old rumors and concepts....here is my take.

The end will be a huge fight between Palpatine, perhaps in ghost/clone form, against Rey and Kylo. I think we will see the dark side manifest itself in Vader and Anakin. Who will battle each other symbolically while the battle rages on two fronts.

Clone Palpatine versus Rey and Kylo , in reality, Rey and Kylo being 1/2 of the while Prime Jedi. Light and dark togther to bring balance.

Vader versus Anakin with help from Luke and Yoda perhaps.

If Disney were smart they would pay off the MSM critics to give this movie a 40% rotten tomatoes which would guarantee fans loving it lol

If that quote from KK is true... it rally does subvert the arguments of those who support Mx Kennedy.

S/he has spoken.

It is indeed true:

Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow was slated to write and direct Episode IX before you brought J.J. Abrams back in. Is this final entry in the trilogy a particularly hard nut to crack?

"Every one of these movies is a particularly hard nut to crack. There's no source material. We don't have comic books. We don't have 800-page novels."

Kennedy: "Every one of these movies is a particularly hard nut to crack. There's no source material. We don't have comic books. We don't have 800-page novels. We created Rey fresh because other than Leia there was no principle female in Star Wars, and as we all know, the Force is female. We decided to make her stronger than any male before her. For no reason, we just liked it. But now we're really stuck where to go. Rian expanded greatly on the agen-- I mean, story. But because these movies are ultimately about making money we felt it was time to bring back JJ so we could get back on track with standard Star Wars fare that appeals strictly to the older fanbase that is really where the money is."

Power, position and money. Star Wars really isn't her thing.

Eventually she'll leave, stating "more time with family" and "being able to do the kinds of stories she's passionate about" blah blah blah...

That tells me she doesn’t feel very confident in Episode IX by already coming up with an excuse.

Creating a good story is really hard because we have no source material in which to cull from.

So in other words, play the victim role and get people to feel sorry for you because you had it so hard being that you didn’t have anything in which to use as source material.
