I loved this big hot mess & I will also enjoy all the plothole lulz for years to come. But right now it feels good to be happy about Star Wars.

I stand with BeeGee hair Ghost Luke.

The reason these last 2 movies sucked was because they had no time to write a story, and then rewrite the story until it was good.

They had their release dates. Had to march forward no matter what.

Rian Johnson turned in his first draft when TFA came out. Clock was already ticking.

Go go go!

Anyone notice how they tried to lessen the impact of Rey being able to heal by having baby yoda do it first LITERALLY the DAY BEFORE TROS OPENED lol

But nothing has me more numb than sitting there when the credits started rolling and realizing how many people were applauding what they saw. Wow!

After muted applause at the opening titles there was stunned silence at the end of my session.

I've decided it mainly appeals to casual fans who have little to no recollection or interest in what has come before. That's probably the majority of the moviegoing public.

In one of the earlier episodes, baby yoda already attempted to heal the mandalorian, but he put that little **** back in his crib.

Palpatine's plan involved unveiling a HUGE fleet of Star Destroyers with planet-killing weapons. He has them literally rise from under the ground. When we get to see inside, these ships have tons of troops and their own command crews. So . . . are we supposed to believe that all of those people were just hanging out underground all this time waiting for Kylo to find his way there?

Among the things destroyed were hundreds (maybe thousands) of robed Sith acolytes (I guess; not quite sure WTF they were). They're all just sitting in the grandstands of the Sith Temple, chanting. Like those in the Star Destroyers, they've apparently been there waiting for Kylo/Rey to arrive. They're killed by debris.

Obviously anything is possible in the Unknown Regions, because Sith magic.

If they'd gone with resurrected Palps from the start, and done more of a Dark Empire with the ST, I would've been on board. But pulling it out of nowhere at the end is too forced and reeks of desperation.

We already had a First Order, the Resistance was already depleted and on the run. We didn't need a Final Order.

Oh no it isn't. :lol

With it's laughable dialogue and plot holes TROS is a prime candidate for Mystery Science Theater 3000.

As much as this movie goes off the rails at break neck speeds and boy does it ever I will give it these 4 things.

1. They hit it out of the park how beautifully they handled Leia?s death by tying it to Kylo and Han. So much so that it eliminated one of the complaints from TLJ of Holdo getting a death over Leia. Her sacrifice to save her son especially after she had sent Han first was amazing.
2. Seeing Ford as Han eliminates the difficulty of watching his death scene from TFA I will no longer stress and get angry while watching that.
3. Ridley gives an absolutely mesmerizing performance as Rey.
4. That lightsaber battle with those ginormous waves in the background was not only visually gorgeous it was an absolutely thrilling and powerfully epic lightsaber battle and the sabers never looked or sounded as amazing as they did in this.
