I'm over the Palpatine being alive piece....I guess he figured out how to cheat death kinda /sorta. I am curious how and when he cheated it. Did the reactor have a series of ducts like Cloud City and he convenient fell thru to an escape hatch. Did this happen before or after the death star's destruction.:cuckoo: Part of the convenient story I spoke about.

I agree the way he died was weak as f......Windu zapped him with his own force lightening, Vader chucked him down a reactor then the Death Star blew up and you expect a cross guard push of force lightening actually killed him....c'mon man.....

kinda also goes against vader letting resistance ships escape by not force grabbing them back [emoji2285][emoji2285]

I won’t be seeing this likely until next week after Christmas, but I have a feeling I’m actually going to enjoy it, even though I shouldn’t. It’ll be one of those films where I’ll think it realistically sucks, but is fun to watch even though at least 50% I probably won’t consider canon.

May I buy you a beer.

Sure. I’ll send you my PayPal address and I’ll use the money on beer. :D

:lol Well yes, it did have the same "Messiah Murder Interruptus" effect, didn't it? But thankfully (with apologies to SilverStar17) not THAT contrived and eye roll inducing.

No worries. :wave :lol

Lol so lemme get this straight. Snoke is just some old loser that was cloned? What a waste of a character. All that build up and theory for nothing.

Thank goodness for fallen order and mando to remind me why I love this franchise

Same here. Won't go to cinema to watch it. Will watch it online some day and that's it.

I just saw the movie and I thoroughly and unabashedly enjoyed it. No matter what anyone says Star Wars has never been high cinema, and I found this episode enjoyable throughout. The Leia scenes may have been shoehorned but they were ‘okay’, and the twist was a bit on the nose, but I got past the initial shock quickly enough to enjoy the ride.

And if you’re someone who dislikes Last Jedi, I would give this a chance. Because as far as the critics go, they loved Last Jedi, but audiences didn’t. But from Rotten Tomatoes the critics dislike this one, but the audience % is currently at 86%.

Note that while I didn’t love Last Jedi, I didn’t hate it either. So I suggest everyone make their own minds up and not let either pool of people influence your decision.

Sort of like Captain Phasma I guess. I didn’t mind it, as I never really cared about Snoke anyway.

I have a feeling this may be my camp as well, but we’ll see. I didn’t like TLJ overall, but I didn’t hate it because there were some aspects of it I did like.

Another thing you can thank TLJ for. That film imo is what killed the trilogy and made the story go stagnant.

O wow I completely forgot about phasma. So she def did die in TLJ . Why build up a character like that only to kill them off so easily.

Honestly the only parts of Last Jedi that I didn’t like was the casino scene (as the movie could’ve definitely lived without it) and how Poe’s decision ended up hurting them badly.

You mean like Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi?

Did they really build up Boba Fett though? He was just the guy who delivered a frozen Solo to Jabba the Hutt.

I pretty much just liked the Rey and Luke scenes on Ahch-To, the Reylo saber team up, and the ending. Personally, I didn’t have an issue with the manner of Luke’s death.

All the space scenes and the Canto Bight stuff to me are forgettable.

Boba fett had a presence and you know it. Don?t even. Boba fett actually did ****. Name one thing phasma did?

They built up phasma to be this next level badass but she did nothing. Boba fett wasn?t built up at all he just got the attention from doing what he did

Yes exactly. But then again because of its classic status most see the original trilogy through rose coloured glasses. The films were far from perfect and if they were released today with upgraded effects I truly wonder how they would be received.

Honestly except for big Star Wars fans, does the average viewer even remember Boba Fett?

The best part of this movie is all the subtle middle fingers to Ruin Johnson and the TLJ for breaking this clown trilogy. This movie is basically JJ's version of episode 8 & 9 mushed into one.

Stupidity often makes no sense.

Neither did I. But many seem to have been personally insulted by Luke’s portrayal in Last Jedi. I mean I may have preferred if he’s story went another way, but at the same time I didn’t mind the route they went with him.

Agreed, but I do think they’re better films as an aggregate whole in the sense they tell a much more cohesive story than the ST. As does the PT.

I can understand why people would hate it, but I personally didn’t have an issue with it. It worked for me.

It’s kind of like Captain Kirk’s death in STG. If someone told me his death would be falling off a bridge, I would have objected. But seeing the manner in how they did it and the circumstances surrounding it and how he went quietly and not with a bang complete with a big Statfleet funeral, it worked for me.

I guess I can’t disagree with that.

There was a beginning, a middle and an end in the other trilogies. Whereas this one.... I don’t know really, because I didn’t exactly dislike any of the new films.

But take my opinion with a grain of salt as my favourite Star Wars film, isn’t any from the original Trilogy, but Rogue One :cuckoo:
