Dude,

They all look awesome.

I'm not sure which I love most from Clone Wars, Leia or McQ.

Probably Leia to be honest...

I knew I should have tried to get hold of one...

Adam MAY be using the same art for his CE print. I'll be seeing him today, and I'll ask him.

That would be excellent Irish - and if there's anyway for some of us blokes in the US to possibly pick one up ...

Yeah, definitely keep us posted.

I suggested they should just change the background color on the Leia and do a wider run. I hope there's some way to get one!

Dave, if anything should ever happen to me, my print is yours.

But if I die "in an accident" anytime soon, I'm gonna haunt your ass as long as you live :D

Funniest post I've read in a long time.

Well, I just got back from my day trip to Charlotte for Heroes Con. Spent almost the whole day hanging with friends in Artists Alley. Lots of news.

Here's some cool "scoopage"...

Adam will indeed likely have the same print at CE. While I was at his table, Alison informed him that the deadline for the printer is 6/22 (six days from now). And since he hasn't had time to work on a new piece or CE that basically means he will use the same one (just with the CE logo, obviously). So there is hope for those who missed out on the C4 print. :rock

However, here's the shoe dropping (and this affects ALL artwork at CE): LFL has informed the artist that they just change the prices of their C4 print charges from US dollars to UK pounds. Note that I said "change" and not "convert". This means that the AH! print at CE will likely be 75 pounds (which is basically $150 USD). I had this confirmed by Dave Dorman as well, who said his CE print will be 100 Pounds at LFL's request.

By the way, speaking of Dorman... I got a sneak-peek at his all-new print for CE and let me just say that it will likely be just as popular as his C4 print. Think C4 Plunkett (as in Troopers attacking the Sandcrawler) only with another unique twist that just rocks. :rock

Also talked to the awesome Cat Staggs a bit (hi Cat!). Her CE print will also be a must-own and is indeed the perfect companion piece to her C4 print. I won't describe it, though, as she'll punch my face off. Also, she'll soon be working on a commission piece for me that will rock the world so I will respect her secrecy and let her unveil her latest masterpiece on her own terms. :p

Back to Adam... some of you may or may not know that he's illustrated the cover of the official Con book for SDCC this year and it's a STAR WARS 30th Anniversary theme. He has a print proof for view at his Heroes table and it's incredible. However, a slight snafu on the part of the folks at SDCC will prevent a couple of really cool "cameos" in his piece from making the final cut (more from Alison on that when she returns). :monkey2 Adam also had an original Obi-Wan piece in the Heroes auction that was so jaw-droppingly amazing that I literally would not snap a photo of it because I know it would only make me cry later on after having lost out on it.

I let Alison, Adam and Cat know that they're of course all invited to the SS Freaks gatherings at both SDCC and Dragon*Con (which is now official per Dave, BTW... and I'll be organizing it. Stay tuned).

Of course, I spent some coin on artwork today, too... including some Captain America prints by Cat that will make the Marvel guys here wet themselves. :lol

Too tired (and lazy) to snap and post pics tonight, though... but I'll get to them tomorrow. Just thought I'd share all of this news with you all.

Great update Irish. Can you cut and paste this sucker for the folks in the art thread at GGC too?

Can't wait to see Dave Dorman's CE piece! Oh God!

Come on Irish, just a quick pic of one of your Captain America prints? :monkey3 :monkey5

Alright, because the caffeine kicked in here are a couple really quick:

Cat's Cap prints (photo does NOT do them justice) :rock

More Slave Leia prints (and a sketch) by various comic artists:

I'll post the rest tomorrow (which includes a killer Destro print by Dave Dorman).

Those Cat Cap pictures are really awesome! Great stuff.

Well, that issue of converting the print prices from dollars to pounds is a bit disappointing, but if it's between not having one and paying a bit extra for it then I guess that's what needs to be done. Although how I would convince someone to pick it up from CE and ship it to me is another matter altogether. Hmm ...

Looking forward to seeing all the art they were hinting about for SDCC; wish I could make it to that at least. Ah, someday I will.

Now that's just a pisstake!

mfoga, I answered you at GGC.

Also - from Dave Seeley at GGC for anyone interested in getting his Rogue Leader print from C4:

"We had an excellent and enthusiastic reponse to Rogue Leader at the show, and overall it was a very successful venture. As it turned out, we sold 3 out of 5 of the canvases, enough to make their creation worth it. We sold out of small size prints in the final minutes, and still had a bunch of 24 x 36 left. I sold those and the two canvases to a dealer friend at the close on Monday. Not sure if those will be resold on the web or via retail, or what pricing will look like... but if anyone is interested post show, I can forward your emails. You can email me at [email protected], or pm me here.

Thanks for the support!

Dave"

Yeah I think Dave is talking about the big canvas prints not the bigger show prints Swabie.

No, he's talking about both. All his remaining CIV stock was sold to a sports art dealer. I've already been in contact with them, but they haven't decided on pricing, etc. Unfortunately, I'm guessing they're going to raise the price a bit. I'll find their address and post it in case anyone's interested.

Yep. It's 24x36 so I got a nice black metal frame and did it myself. Looks great! :rock
Did yours have white borders on both sides? I have about 3/4" of white border on the two sides but not on top, so the Print is about 37.5" long and 24" tall.
