I thought the demo was below average. The combat certainly stood out to me as clunky and I'm sorry to see it wasn't sharpened up. That's really disappointing as this was looking to be a really great game but I guess it will really add nothing but another third-person action game.

The demo kind of reminded me of PREDATOR:CONCRETE JUNGLE...which I liked because it had a solid story, I'm a Predator fan, and some really cool weapons/features...but overall the controls were a little slow and awkward at times and the graphics could've been better. But in the end it was a mediocre game...not bad, not great...not even good.

Oh well, we'll see...doesn't surprise me that LucasArts tries to shine another turd.

But I really think they should have gone more of the Jedi Knight route. That could have made some mean lightsaber battles.

And they really should have released a PC version. I swear, PC is going to make a big comeback that will make consoles ridiculous.

agree with the first part, but not sure about the second part. i was thinking about his last week at gamestop. PC gaming seems to be fading away. there was maybe....half of a shelf with PC games on it. not very promising when most games are going to all platforms. im hoping PC games will come back because computers are getting cheaper and cheaper and better and better.
~~for instance-- i can run Crysis on high settings on my macbook pro. the fact that i can play most newer games on my laptop is just insane when you used to need a desktop with all the trimmings to do this.

meh, given how alot of gaming magazines go now I'll wait and make up my own mind. Some times, a bad review simply means they game developer did not pay the review mag enough.

Re: Force Unleashed Interview

Just thought my fellow Star Wars gaming Freaks might enjoy this. I had the cool opportunity to interview Haden Blackman via LucasArts. Haden's the man behind the upcoming "Force Unleashed".

Let me just say... he's an AWESOME person. Very impressive individual. Smart, witty... and just disgustingly talented. The game is gonna be intense.

Check out what he had to say:

Thanks for the link Swabie. Didn't know he was a monster freak as well.

What I really think is that at some point people will just buy some small device, like a flat screen that connects wirelessly to a computer-either one they own at their home or one that they pay for in a service since a desktop would run faster than a smaller computer so the device could just send commands. This would mean a lot to how people live but mainly it would get rid of most of the problems with computers since it would be easy to get games and people wouldn't be concerned about it working on their system. Something like that would pretty much make consoles useless since computers could do everything better than them.

Anyways, that's what I think. If that ever does happen it won't be for a while, but I think it eventually will.

This game looks awesome though from the walkthrough. I'm just sad my Xbox RROD a couple days ago-the game comes out next week. Talk about bad timing, this game was one of the main reasons I bought the console. At least Crysis: Warhead comes out also so unless my computer dies too then I'll have something new to play.

After playing the demo I am not sold on this game. To me, it looks like a lot of repeated chaos... I will wait until my brother buys it and I will check his copy out first.

I will be going to get mine on Tuesday. Its free with some games I traded in so we shall see. I haven't decided if I'll start out playing on the hardest level first to get all the achievements for completing it or go through it once just to get a feel.

Agreed. It's another mindless hack and slash game with a SW license tacked on to it. It seems it's one of those games were you just enter areas with enemies waiting for you, then you fight them all which results in repetitious battles, then pull a lever, flick a switch then move into the next area and repeat...

I was highly disappointed with the demo. This went from being on my top ten list to buy this season and it dropped off the list completely. Perhaps Lucas Arts should have kept the team around a little longer.

I just hope there are 30 minute cut scenes after every 10 minutes of gameplay. That is what really defines a great game.

so it's a lot like the God of War games??

i hear you man. and it sucks to hear about your box. Crysis: Warhead is gonna be awesome. i'm gonna pick it up in a couple weeks when i have spare time. right now i have too much on my plate and too many games to play. i just picked up a DS and have been playing Castlevania Portrait of Ruin almost every day.
do you plan on getting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Clear Skies??? that's next on my list after Warhead.

makes sense....more people have 360s at this point. have you seen the Wii version in action yet??? i want to know how much of a graphics downgrade it has in comparison to the others.

I played the demo for this again last night and above all else, this game is fun. That's what I look for when playing a video game anyway. Give me something that's fun to play. I can't wait for tomorrow.

I'm still undecided if I will pick it up I like the demo but like I said Friday night during Gears I dont want another game that I blast through in a week and never play it again.

:lol i have yet to be wowed by any LucasArts game. This one seems no different. Pass.
