Yeah we got the nice credits and I loved it because as the episode was ending I was thinking to myself how hearing the regular ending would feel completely wrong.

I didn't know that. When does she appears in ep 3?

I got a bit confused by the 'how can I trust myself" line as well but I guess it's because she was completely fooled by her friend and also how can i trust myself if I can back among people who add no faith in me.

There's a nice interview with Ashley regarding this; https://www.ign.com/articles/2013/03/02/star-wars-the-clone-wars-ahsoka-tanos-fate-revealed-ashley-ecksteins-post-finale-chat

Official sorta-canon reports Barris was on Felucia with Aayla during Order 66. Honestly don't watch TCW never have, but it's fun to show how ****** up the series is when ya put Dark Horse's republic, 2003-2005 books and the original Clone Wars 5 min cartoons in a timeline with it. :lol Course from what Lucasfilm says... this cartoon has more validity than the original storys... I say... **** that and leave my gritty clone wars alone. On a side note funny how everyone can remember Rex and kids say his name. But everyone forgets Alpha (Alpha-17)... if it wasn't for Dark Horse who made him and ARCs; (The) Clone Wars I know would be incomplete.

I'd certainly put this series before the original one. The original one was like a small light amuse-bouche and this is more like a 5-course meal.

That's 57eps out of 108.

I think for a brief moment you can see Luminara Unduli on Kashyyk in ROTS, so maybe that's who you're thinking of.

Yep, went back and rewatched it last night, I thought they were on that disc together, but it was just Luminara. Just goes to show how the mind can "place" things that you think have happened. Its my favorite ep of the PTs I've watched it a dozen times over, you'd think I'd rememeber better. :dunno

I watched the episode again this afternoon with my three little ones (yes, even my one year old curled up and took it all in quietly) and my six-year old said, when Barriss was revealed to be the true guilty party in front of Palpatine, "But, how did she turn invisible?" True. How did she use the force to kill the arrested bomber in front of Ahsoka? Where was she? Did Harry give her his cloak of invisibility or is this just another new jedi power like all of those wonderful Superman powers we discovered in Superman II? (expanding "S" net anyone?)

Anyway, still a nice way to end the fifth season.

Nice list! I forget just how many good episodes there have been.

How did she use the force to kill the arrested bomber in front of Ahsoka? Where was she?

Was wondering that myself. Could she have been hiding in some ventilation shaft within the cell? Just speculating.

I didn't know that. When does she appears in ep 3?

Barriss Offee was not in ROTS. Her only film appearance was AOTC. The actress, Nalini Krishan, was called back for ROTS and even did makeup tests. However, Lucas decided there was enough unused footage of Barriss from the Battle of Geonosis to fulfill the needs of her role in ROTS. Eventually, Order 66 was shortened and Barriss' role was cut entirely. Despite this, her demise was shown in the ROTS comic, and perhaps even more ruthless and heartbreakingly in the original Order 66 schematic.

Regarding Barriss Offee and force choking...didn't Vader force choke people just by looking at them through a monitor?

She trusted Barriss and she was completely wrong about that so obviously she doubts her instincts... Ventress aided her while Barriss set her up. The entire council (except for a few) were ready to doubt her-- Black is white and white is black.

I had to give the line a little thought as well. I think part of her also may feel like she's not the Padawan she should be/could be. Anakin is her mentor and the Jedi council is always hesitant to put full trust in him. During the arc when Obi-Wan fakes his death to go undercover as a bounty hunter, Anakin is angry for being kept out of the loop and Yoda says that Anakin can be danger to enemies and friends alike, because of his unpredictable nature. Hell, Mace Windu still doesn't trust him by ROTS. His teachings have had an effect on Asohka. During that same story arc, she watches Anakin interrogating people and force choking them and seems perfectly okay with that. I think she's doubting more than her instincts; I think she's beginning to wonder if the council senses something in her nature that she has been out of touch with herself.

This arc was genius. I wish there had been more of a twist with the Baris reveal (Anakin finds her murdered in her room, or something like that), but I can forgive it for the sake of tying up loose ends. It wasn't really the point of the arc, anyway. We've seen public distrust of the Jedi (wonder how Baris's public remarks about the Jedi losing their way will play out in public opinion?), the Jedi have been dragged through scandal, the military and Palpatine have gained further advantage, Anakin is more resentful/distrustful of the Jedi than ever (sets up motivation for events in ROTS), and Asohka has been set on a course where I absolutely cannot even try to guess her fate - at all. The end scene was beautiful, heartfelt, perfect. Loved the full orchestra, loved the fade to credits, just a great job all around. This did feel like a series finale, but hopefully we'll have a couple more season of solid storytelling (avoid the cutsey droids, Gungan, frogs, etc story arcs PLEASE!) More clones, Mandalore/Maul, Palpatine (new voice, please), Dooku (was he even in this season?), Cad Bane, Ventress, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex, and Asohka. Maybe a little Yoda, Mace, one or two other Jedi to mix it up. Boba Fett's coming of age and more bounty hunters. And a small appearance by Hondo. That's what I want to see next season.

Anyone else remember the season 5 trailer showing scenes of Padme with her ex and Anakin being REALLY mad? Where did that go?
