I made it through once and feel stronger for it... but never again :lol

At least not until someone makes a really nice clean copy of it. The bootleg DVD I have looks like it was filmed though a toupee :lol

Speaking of which, is Mark actually wearing a wig in this? I know this was filmed not long after his accident and I am wondering if his hair and EXTREME EXCESSS of makeup is perhaps due to that. :dunno

I think I had heard he was working on a different project at the time and that was why he looked so doofy. I thought this was filmed pre-accident, but I could be wrong on that one.

Carrie is wearing just as much make-up. I think it was just a bad job.

To make the PT better, they would have to be reimaginines instead of remakes. There's just too much wrong with them to work as is.

From Wikipedia:
On January 11, 1977, one day before he was set to shoot one of the final scenes needed for Star Wars, Hamill was in a car accident in which he fractured his nose and left cheekbone, which required seven hours of surgery. As a result of the accident, a double was used for the landspeeder pickup shots.

Well nevermind then :lol Guess that could explain why he looked so crazy during the holiday special :huh

BTW, the ANH deleted scene with Luke and 3PO in the speeder is funny.

Goes something like this:

3PO: How about blaming R2D2 running away on me sir

Luke: Sure, but uncle owen might deactivate you

3PO: Deactivate me sir, well....you know, if you didn't go removing his restraining bolt this would've never happened

LOL!!

Not sure if this was posted yet, but found it to be an interesting comparison between the different releases of Star Wars (original, SE, 2004 DVD and 2011 BluRay). Its definitely a bit biased in its tone, but still a pretty exhaustive look at newly added scenes, altered scenes and altered audio:
