Yep, that scene is on the DVD for ROTS... kind of a cool one, but completely unecessary to the film.

I never gave that line much thought, just interepreted it as more having to do with Luke feeling the force or the presence of another Jedi.

I do think its odd that they have Padme die in after childbirth, yet have Leia talk about remembering "real" her mother in ROTJ. I'd prefer if the PT would match the OT on that one, but seems odd that line was never altered :huh

Yeah that moment got me wondering as well. Lucas blew it in ROTS having Padme die during the childbirth sequence, but I feel he was rushing it too much, to piece together the final ending. :pfft:

The cave thing again, I thought it was mental/force test created by Yoda. There was no dark side there, that was an expectation put into Lukes mind to see how he would react. Then telling him he would only find what he brings in with him. He brought in fear, a weapon and didn't trust Yoda, so he faced his fears in there. Is it not like the Indian spirit world and hallucination training? I know Lucas referenced this several times. Shamans and myths and visions whilst training.

I never thought there was actually meant to be a dark spot there. Obviously the EU made up it's own theories. Just my opinion.

After AOTC came out and before ROTS, I envisioned an epic battle between Dooku and Yoda on Dagobah resulting in Dooku dying and leaving behind residual Dark Side energy, thus explaining the cave.

....guess I was wrong.

I never saw it as a dark moment, I saw it as the message saying that Darth is a part of Luke and he is related to Darth, which of course played out well to his destiny. :clap

Now all you crazy muther____ers got me hating the PT again :gah:

Don't let it get to you. :lecture

Just recognize that SW and TESB are the undisputed kings of all things SW and everything else is gravy. There were continuity gaffs and half-assed sequences in the OT as well.

I just can't get over how much of TPM is from 1974 story outlines. I really do have a completely renewed respect for the film. Of course silly new things were thrown into the mix like Jar Jar and the execution of a number of elements were less than perfect (putting it nicely) but a lot of that movie is as vintage as SW ideas come.

Good enough, i'm all good now. :lol

Josh can stand down. :lol

Watching the trailers for all 3 PT on YT sure brings back memories, especially TPM.

1996-97-98 sure were exciting times for SW.

I'm on AOTC...Thought the Yoda CGI didn't hold up too well. But some of the acting and directing sucks....I love Star Wars. Even more then LOTR....But LOTR was directed so well. I wouldn't mind seeing SW being remade at this point. By a good director.

Never going to happen we're talking about Lucas and his legal team, the only way somebody will ever get to redo any of the SW films is over his dead body, and even after that his lawyers will be fighting for the rights with whoever wants to do a remake. :lecture: :slap :gah:
