HELL!

NO!

You said it, if there is a miracle and Lucas releases the rights, my choice is James Cameron or Peter Jackson! :exactly:

Besides if Bay did it do we really want to see a Padme with a huge chest, but can't act, other than SW I would say yes, but for SW, NOOOOO!

No director of any era could ever make a SW movie as good as the original theatrical Empire Strikes Back. No need for a remake. Ever.

I was thinking of the PT, never would I ever imply the OT :lecture

But it won't ever happen, so I'll just keep dreaming. :monkey2

I could see it happening one day... it may be 50 years from now. But unless Lucas puts it in his will someone will come along and see the potential of rereleasing the series and making a ____-ton of money from it.

Seems like just about everything that made a lot of money in the 70's and 80's is being remade, so you know plans are laid in case it can ever happen here :lol

OT will be remade while GL is still being buried.

20th Century Fox will tell his kids it's for the greater good of humanity.

So start picking who you want to play Luke, Leia, Han, Ben and so on and so forth. :horror

I know Lucas is putting the rights to the OT in his will, even gonna have it lamented on his grave. but maybe he will make an acception with the PT rights.

I'll say this, I don't blame him all the special effects were impressive at the time of the 70's, but nothing can touch the rainbow Lucas got from the superior acting skills he got from Guiness, Hamill, Fisher and of course the legend of Harrison Ford.

Don't get me wrong, Portman and Macgregor and even the great liam neeson are exceptional actors, but....well, then there is the other guy, who Lucas took a gamble with casting as the main character, which failed

So does this ultimate super-duper "complete" saga "never miss a moment" set contain a single trailer for any of the films? I haven't been able to find them.

More than anything else, that has really pissed me off about these blu-rays. The trailers were the best part of the PT! The music videos and teasers, I want them, as well as the cool vintage stuff from OT.

:(

Good post agreed. In the OT we had fisher and Hamill which played great parts and we had the legends of Harrison and Mr Guiness and the wookie. in the new ones we got Neeson and Macgregor which did a great job, wasnt the same or really as good. Still big fan of all 6 though AOTC being my least fave.

I forgot to add Samuel Jackson's fine acting and we can't forget the late great Peter Cushing's remarkable role as Tarkin. He like Guiness and Ford had the best dialogue and lines in ANH. :clap

I really love that the Holiday Special cartoon was included with this set. Its probably my favorite work of SW animation ever made. I love the overall vibe and the fact that Harrison, Carrie, Mark, and JEJ all lent their voices to add extra authenticity to the story. It feels like SW meets Heavy Metal (the movie.)

I hope SSC makes a true HS Fett one day. :rock

That's funny, I always though the segement was by the same people that did Heavy Metal (since it looks so similar) but I guess it was actually by Nelvana who evidently turned down the opportunity to work on Heavy Metal. But did do the Rock and Rule cartoon :lol
