My friend and mom got it but they seem fine. Shoulder hurts a bit. I?m scared for my dad getting it. Idk it just seems like a sketchy drug. What?s in it?

The 2 covid vaccines are not traditional vaccines that use a live germ they instead use an mRNA molecule to create an immune response to the covid protein creating antibodies to make us immune.

There is no live covid virus in the vaccine

I hope it turns me into Dr Doom lol

Good to see you recovered. Didn?t know you had it. Sorry to hear that

Thank you

My wife cooked an awesome diner tonight I couldn’t taste anything courtesy of covid :gah:

Oh well better than being on a ventilator

Lol my one hope is that this stuff mutates the human dna and we finally get superpowers .

Whatever point this year I can get a vaccine, I def. will get it.

I think what people miss about the virus in particular is its incredible ability to spread and infect so easily, even inter-species . Minks in europe had to be basically wiped out because it was spreading rapidly and mutating. It is usually human>animal>human spread of viruses that mutitate into more dangerous forms. So far the mutations have increased how transmissible it is, but not how lethal it is. That could change however.

Because current mutations have only slightly altered the spike protein, the current vaccine should be effective. Hopefully it stays that way through the year.

I unknowingly trained a girl that tested positive back in June. I was all up in her cubicle talking to her for weeks. I was sent home to work remotely until I got tested despite feeling fine. I tested negative. Was never an issue again.

Have yet to get the vaccine. Last year around this time, most of my coworkers and family members were really sick. Had all the symptoms such as lack of taste and smell, etc. This was before March, before it blew up around the world. Makes me wonder if the people I interacted with had it. At the time, I assumed it was the flu but in retrospect, probably could have been it. Timeframe matches up.

There were a lot of colds/viruses going on. I was really sick and the people around me late last January. But I have donated blood twice since then, and got a covid-anti body test both times and come back negative. That isn't 100% certain I didn't have it, but probably unlikely I did. If I did, then my body no longer has the antibodies to prevent getting sick again...so bummer.

Holy crap he has forever changed how everyone should look at Stormtroopers by literally counting their shots and tallying their hits. Not only are they 3 times more accurate than Rebel Troopers but they're also more accurate than real world human soldiers. :lol

It?s not a drug. It?s a vaccine. They have used this method of vaccine production in the past.

Essentially, they have the vehicle ready to plug in part of the virus. It?s like an empty factory ready for use, you just have to add the raw ingredients. The virus part has to be selected so that it causes the immune system to recognize it the second time your exposed. This is what is known as immunity.

Now the tricky part is finding, the right part.....called a spike protein, that will do the respective immune memory, without side effects.

The list of ingredients are all things that have been used before in vaccines without harm. I do not suggest reading them as most people will not understand what they are, and more likely be afraid of the names, without understanding them.

I had my first shot over a week ago. I did get arm pain, for about 4 days. Almost all the health care providers I know had similar reactions. However, a few got fever , chills, headache for about 12 hours. For most people that?s much better than getting Covid.

Remember , most people will not get very sick from COVID, but for certain ages and populations, it?s LETHAL In my professional and personal Life I know over dozen people whom are dead , and should not be.

So , please consider to it fellow citizens and get vaccinated.

I am happy to answer any questions anyone has to my best ability.

I never thought this would be as bad as it is......we have made a lot of mistakes dealing with this. Let?s not make the possible solution another mistake.

Same here.

We still do not know how long antibodies are detectable .

So it?s possible. There was a new flu strain going around in Jan-February of 20 as well.

I intend to suck that vaccine back like Coca-Cola as soon as it's available to me. I have family in healthcare who've had their first dose with no major discomfort.

My girlfriend and I have been exceptionally careful since March, but still got tagged recently.

I last saw her on the 2nd (we had spent 4.5 days together) and she lost her sense of taste and smell that night after she left my place earlier in the day. She got it back inside of a week but during that time got knocked on her ***, stayed in bed, experienced some flu-like symptoms. Tested positive. On day 11 she's getting better; she's remained functional enough to continue to work from home, just slept a lot.

I considered it a foregone conclusion that I was infected; on the 5th I noticed such mild fatigue and nasal congestion, that pre-Pandemic I would have ignored it. Those are the only symptoms I've experienced; no fever, no nothing. The odd cough or sneeze in the morning and towards evening. I got a PCR on the 10th when they also checked my blood oxygen levels and they're good. It's turned up negative and I haven't experienced a downturn as of yet.

Given the PCR test can have a relatively high rate of false-negatives, I'm assuming I have it regardless. At any rate, I'm required by Public Health to self-isolate for 14 days no matter the test result, which makes sense of course.

I'm now on my 10th day since my last exposure to her, and 8th, maybe 9th day since feeling these mild cold symptoms. I called public health to discuss, and while they acknowledge the false-negative rate, they believe it would have been accurate for me given how long I waited to get swabbed, although I've read that it's least accurate on Day 1 and again decreases in accuracy by Day 8.

She saw her mother and sister within her likely infected window, and they have also tested negative. I find it very weird that her 3 close contacts all tested negative.

Nonetheless, I'm assuming I have it for the safety of people around me, and can only hope I don't experience anything worse and that she continues to improve.

This fatigue I've experienced doesn't prevent me from doing anything. It's just...nagging. Anyway, I do hope everyone considers taking this vaccine.

Take care, fellow Freaks. I'm lucky enough to live in a remote corner of the world with a sparse population, hence our exposure has been low.

The scary part is, this isn't even the "big one", but it will mean we're ready for it if it ever comes.
