Indeed. This and ANH have the best SW openings. The best opening of any Star Wars movie
Mando > Star Wars saga....
You are kinda not wrong here.
I will go further and say that i would like to see Mando doing his own new thing with no further input from any Skywalkers at all, ever and if Ahsoka did not stroll through every five minutes that would also be great. Lets let Mando become a legend in his own right, we have done enough Skywalker stuff and lets see something new. In a whole galaxy the same people keep reappearing.
Lets see a show or movie about Sidon Ithano plundering the galaxy with his unfrozen Clone soldier in tow, lets see a pirate war or ANYTHING WITHOUT SKYWALKERS, THX and I say that as someone who enjoyed Lukes season 2 Mando entrance.
What was so great about The Mandalorian was no steenkin' Jedi or Skywa --
Less Skywalker and definitely less Disney Luke in Mando.
Mando > whole SW movie seriesMando > Star Wars saga....
George considered *none* of the EU novels or comics canon. He basically allowed it to exist as a parallel universe completely separate from the films and TCW in order appease fan demand and make a ton of extra money on the side.
Sure he would mine the EU for names (Coruscant) or certain character looks (Aayla Secura, etc.) but that's it.
No, Boba Fett being a Mandalorian wasn't pulled from Marvel comics. It was a concept that came up in story meetings for ESB when Fett's character was being developed and was first mentioned in print in Joe Johnston's 1980 ESB sketchbook. Also the whole concept of Mandalore and Mandalorians. I still remember eating up Boba's first origin in a 1983 Marvel comic.

Damn it and here I believed Prime when he told me that AtAt walkers were first mentioned in Bazooka bubble gum wrappers!
Let's not forget he almost got "cooked" before he even started his run on the first Death Star... "Not such a bad pilot", indeed.
