First thing I noticed as well.

Oh well, he is old so it's expected.

All things considering, that's his post on set injury and plane crash walk, not bad if you ask me.

He broke his leg during the filming...so that might explain his movements. Chewie is struggling to get up the stair in that shot too...what's his excuse? :lol

Damn, Ford looks like such an old man in that shot. He's got an old man walk...and not in a good way like Clint Eastwood, but more like I'm too old to be doing this... kind of way.

C'mon guys, he's human and the oldest of the core three from the OT.

He can't stay in Indiana Jones shape forever :dunno

He actually looked great at SDCC

Don't worry guys, I'm sure Solo bites it in this one. Age and appearance won't mean a thing after December.

Part of me wishes they just left the Original Trilogy characters alone so they could be immortalized like this,

Their story was over. Sure, it would have been fun seeing Luke as a fully fledged Jedi Knight, but that time in the 80s/90s was squandered.

I still can't believe he was ready to call it a day after ESB and they had to convince him to return for ROTJ :panic:

As to the now, yeah probably will be the end for Han in this one, but man, I can't help but feel how the next two will feel empty without a Han Solo around, even though it's not about the core three anymore, it's the start of a new core of characters a and their adventures.

Definitely not. Those two games were much better than any SW film or all of them combined. :lol

Completely agree with you on that and to think the graphics on that were spectacular back then, but nowhere near the level they can do now :horror

Don't worry. The Force Awaken will end with Luke and Han driving their separate ways as this song plays in the background.

His character arc was pretty much complete. What did he do in ROTJ besides open a door at the bunker? He didn't really have anywhere else to go. I'm glad they didn't kill him off, as he wanted, but he was kind of wasted as a character in Jedi.

No, no one did. There is no conflict. I was just wondering why he felt like he was "stirring the pot" or whatever, just short of an apology. It's all cool. Different strokes and all that.

We shouldn't be afraid to speak our minds on here. I get this sense like we're all on edge about what other people think about our opinions. This thread, walking dead, Civil War, BvS etc. These are just movies and TV, as long as we're not taking personal shots at each other, who cares!

This I agree with 100%, and I feel pretty strongly about. But you know that. :duff

:lol it's actually interesting that the guy playing Finn at least can fake an accent in the film, but Daisy doesn't. Maybe they asked her too, but she couldn't .

Speaking, I always thought it was weird Qui Gon had an accent when Liam can perfectly fake an American accent..think Darkman and Taken :dunno

No, I think you are missing my point. They WANTED her to have a british accent. So they left her use her speaking voice. It follows the legacy of what Lucas started in 77.

Neeson is Irish, so they left him use his own accent when speaking. I'm glad they did because his American accent isn't great IMO, it's fine but he sounds amazing when speaking naturally, real gravitas. Boyega, well I will wait and see. :lol

I didn't even think of Neeson when I said yesterday that I don't want Irish accents in Star Wars. And there was even another one at the beginning of TPM - the female pilot (captain?) of the ship they blow up in the hangar. ''With allll due respect'' - she was in The Commitments.

Han and Leia are together though on the forest planet where we see Rey crying and Ren vs Finn.... correct? Or I am just completely wrong?

If the above is indeed true.... I am starting to like my theory that Leia dies and Han lives more and more.... would be a huge swerve.

Yay

Hmmm..other than Alec, I can't imagine they wanted any of the heroes to have any accent in 1977, If you can recall all the empire, except Vader were British.

I find it interesting to believe they originally didn't ask her to try a non accent, especially if they want Rey to be tied to Solo and Leia somehow.

Unless like I said they were thinking she was more of Mara Jade's daughter than Leia's. I seem to remember that Mara Jade was British inspired.

Leia overdoses on snow, on the snow planet.
